  1. Yeah the Ishimas seem pretty bombproof from what I have done so far. I know the feeling re shins! Will also need to see this track at Bathgate- its just a matter of finding a free night with decent weather
  2. Doing ok - got an Ishima Rave and trying my best to break it. If its true there are worse, i think i might need to invest in body armour or one of these
  3. Thought I might just pop in to the thread as its been a while since I have been out. Sounds like the Bathgate track is pretty good. Might have to get my mate ( not the one you guys know - I have introduced another to the world of nitro) and I along there some time (just make sure its no where near Stef and his dodgy steering!). Baja's make for sore shins especially with you driving!
  4. Not bad - been too busy to get near the RC - real life is taking over atm. Just realised I said it was July in my post above - oops it only feels like it
  5. Meet at Perth again soon? Need to give my car its first run of the year (can't believe its now July and it hasn't seen the light of day yet)
  6. <<Try the car I have in my info - its a belter for the price! And very upgradable as it is similar to a few others.
  7. Sounds like a place to visit in the future. Can never have too many bashing spots can you?
  8. Never do it without a decent layer underneath your overalls - the pellets hurt! Don't spray and pray- you will spend a fortune that way. If you can only see a head or gun - don't bother shooting. If you find somewhere reasonably safe, try to outwait your opponent. Let them get bored and try to charge you. If you can club together with a few other guys and see if they will do a bulk price for a box of pellets - I did the last time I was out and it basically worked out to almost half price!
  9. Have to say I use the quarry at Craggie all the time - its pretty good as you can find almost all types of terrain (tarmac for speed, loose rock for jumps, grass for a bit of everything) Only thing is watch out for the trees in the top bit - I have broken a few arms in there! Just thinking - its getting close to bashing season!!!
  10. I seem to be able to run plugs forever in the Ishima - I have only bought 4 plugs about a year back and still have all 4 (I haven't had the car out for afew months what with the crappy weather). I think it is all about the engine and also tune. Some engines seem harder on them tbh although tuning to the max will probably burn them out quicker.
  11. What I do when removing the engine is to mark the underside with a marker in line with the bolts. Makes it a breeze refitting the engine.
  12. I tried to repair mine when it snapped but the central section of the spring snapped so I ended up replacing it anyway!
  13. Its been too long since the last one but I guess at this time of year we are going to be fighting the weather! Roy (who had the Revo) now has the Revo, a Savage and a Baja! I will check in later in the week to see if this is going ahead.
  14. They are starting to get pretty popular in this forum now eh? Great cars esp for the price (
  15. I like the way you are thinking!
