    has the idle been changed during the strip down ?

    didnt it come with instructions ? if i remember rightly , you switch on the radio gear then select full break and press the button on the failsafe the led should go steady , then you let return to normal and to test switch tx off and the throttle servo should go to full brake

    probably better not locking the wheels up mate more control and prob stop quicker

    cant you put the plastic circlips on the shocks to stiffen them a bit ?

    well parts are on way so can only hope they turn up in time , cool on your brakes tho mate , you may find it helps to keep damage down

    only way to check is to take the 4 screws out of base and ease the top of the servo off but be carefull doing it so that all the gears and pinions stay put and have a look see if any teeth missing , you may be able to turn the affected gear round a bit so that its not using the damaged bit , to be honest most ready to run cars come with not so good servo's and ive had same prob with couple of mine

    im betting its a plastic geared servo and youve stripped some teeth of 1 of the gears in it

    they most definately do work better than 4 aa's

    have you got the filter elbow on the right way ? ive got the short part to the carb and long part of elbow to the filter and its all under the roll bar running fore and aft along car length , also did you use the zippy cable ties that came with it to secure it to carb and air filter ? theres bound to be other types of air filter that will do the job available

    cool thx for that mate im thinking the shocks are the weak link in the trophy and those caps look a lot more solid

    Housten we have a problem , yep you guessed it had the trophy out tonight and broke the front shock shaft , dont know how it broke as i didnt hit anything , parts ordered just need to see if the new shocks arrive in time for saturday so maybe a wee bit later than 12

    yes you can get ne shock caps they come as a set of 4 with 4 caps and 4 plastic mount inserts reason i know is my 1 suffered same fate lol i got them from here as well i think 7.99 for the set of 4

    trophy 4.6 shocks are alloy body's and caps with a plastic insert into cap for mounting the shock

    just checked the lightening out and it seems almost identical to the trophy right enough main thing i noticed is engine size slightly diferant .26 (4.30 in lightening and .28 (4.6 ) in trophy and of course body shell and spoiler , be interesting to see them together
