  1. Shame, it looked like it was gonna be good fun. So annoying when you persevere only to break something critical. Is the airframe still in good condition? If it was me, I'd lose the gearbox altogether and set it up with a bl motor and proper esc. Work out what thrust is going to be needed then just go direct motor>prop. Won't cost much to experiment with a motor and plane esc.
  2. Of modern Bonds, definitely. I read something recently that claimed Dalton was best of all time..........................wtf? I'd say Moore was quintessential Bond, then Connery. However I separate old from new. Anything post-Moore doesn't really feel true Bond to me.
  3. Sending to work used to be standard. I had a hyper7 roller in my car for weeks at one stage when she was paying a little too much attention to what I was doing in the garage. Don't forget the very useful..... "Yeah, I sold/swapped some bits I didn't need so it was practically free..........."
  4. Cheap as chips (a large portion maybe)... http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/1-8-nitro-buggy-rear-mud-guards-will-fit-Hyper-7-etc-RS530-/192268127386?hash=item2cc412cc9a:g:VOUAAOSwPc9WuP9e
  5. That's the first RC mistake covered. It's all downhill from here. Soon you'll learn to automatically devalue models when mentioning possible purchases, have them delivered when swmbo isn't around and keep a straight face when stating categorically........"what, no, I've had this for ages!" I second (or is it third now) paying for something tried and tested with good parts support. This is buggy, not truggy, but could be converted to brushless for around your budget if it stays at similar price (although you might end up bidding against me..........) http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Hyper-7-Rolling-Chassis-/162643598067?hash=item25de505af3:g:zdIAAOSwXGtZngWA
  6. I was just thinking the same thing.
  7. Did you take it out today? Looks well made.
  8. The aliexpress one discussed is specifically for the ST pro chassis if thats what u have. Centre diff legs designed to fit over the centre chassis brace.
  9. EBay is a grey area as its a market place not distinct outlet. The cra is also only enforceable with UK companies, realistically there is nothing that u could do enforce the terms on a Chinese seller. Ive seen a number discussions where the people have pointed out that the item location defines where the contract is made. As we are the importer, not the seller, contract in theory falls under Chinese trade rules.
  10. Hmmm, got the shock issue, shocking rebound. Will try a refill myself, or preload first as thats easier!
  11. Providing all works out, 22 notes fine with me. Let me know when available.
  12. How big is the hole: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Furniture-Cupboard-Plastic-Round-Perforated-Mesh-Air-Vents-Ventilation-3mm-10pcs-/302196768542?epid=2136379412&hash=item465c54bf1e:g:9HIAAOSwbiFZOsys http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/30x30cm-PLASTIC-NET-STRONG-BLACK-FLEXIBLE-HDPE-INSECT-FISH-MESH-SCREEN-FINE-2mm-/290934722932?epid=1788400293&hash=item43bd0f9174:g:vssAAOxywFtSUJpv
  13. That first one is the aliexpress I discussed above. Might be okay if u chop third leg off. Pinion problem might be short shaft on motor as answer rc pinion just about fits but is right on the edge, two other makes of pinion dont grip shaft at all due to grub screw position being about 1mm away from shaft.
  14. The third/outer leg hits the lip on the chassis. If u take the leg down a bit, its still directly over a screw for the sideguard. I just went with two on that side but up to you. Using a turnigy 1800 (I think) motor, pinions either rub the mount or risk coming off the shaft because you cant get the pinion on far enough and the grub screw barely grips the shaft.
  15. I already made that mistake, albeit at half that price.
  16. I wouldn't touch that mount/tray combo at that price. Ridic markup as the mount is a tenner delivered from aliexpress. It also doesnt fit a 7 properly without trimming and is too thick for some motor/pinion combos. Cant believe he's basically tripled the price for the BIN price.
  17. So the advice is dont put it in water? I wouldnt drop a charged lipo into one anyway, rather let it burn itself out, but I might get a bucket of sand on standby.
  18. Dont expect to get much for the ex nitro bits, no market for them. You might get something for an engine but a lot of people wont take a chance on them so values are down. Pipes are worth nothing, same with fuel tank. Excluding engine, I'd say you'd be lucky to get a tenner for the ex nitro bits, including postage!
  19. Tried to send you a message fella about the sc8 but it says nononono to messages. Fire over your paypal details and I'll send you the monies, if still available. Ta.

  20. I'll take it if still available?
  21. And the BFG saga continues........................ Some footage from Hornsea at the weekend. Wedding anniversary?? Yes, the perfect time to go flying my plane, then do some fishing.............. Some pretty footage of the coast but also pretty boring. You have been warned. Finishes with a nice shot of Hornsea Lakeside Lodges where we were staying. Lovely venue for anyone wanting a well spec'd lodge with fishing lake and 5 mins walk from the coast. In yorkshire tho.......
  22. I always normal or fast charge my batteries almost to full. If I remember I'll switch to balance charge just for the end, sometimes I let them finish then balance charge. even doing that they can take a while to balance out but normally get there in the end.
  23. Looking good fella. Hours of fun on it's way...........
  24. Removed the video already? Boo hiss boo.
