  1. Blacksmith's on fleabay carry quite a few pull starts and rotostarts. Just find out your owb size and mounting holes dim's and mail em. They've sorted me out a few times in the past.
  2. With the car on the ground, what happens when you move the spur gear? Does it move the car or spin on it's shaft? If that seems fine, check the diffs - with the brake on, can you move either both the front or both the back wheels in the same direction?
  3. Got the same problem too. Off road I don't really notice too bad but on asphalt it's more noticeable. Is it quality of servo and them not returning probably?
  4. Sorry if I sounded harsh dude but no thats not correct. Not sure how good the engine is yet, I got a TT .18 engine to go in mine so hope they alright.
  5. Yes. Errrrr I mean no. Who told you that? Thats quite amusing
  6. Yeah keep the torque down if using a drill as can do some damage internally as above. Also, roto's are meant to be pretty hard on owb's too but they don't half make it easy to start. Blacksmith's on fleabay do the sets, all you need is the mounting hole sizes and owb size I think. Also, someone in the for sale section has a job lot to break, might be checking what he's wanting?
  7. Clutch sounds not right. Have you over tightened the bell? I think it depends on the length of the clutch bell, you might need some shims or take some away? Like he said /\/\/\
  8. Looks like it. There's cheaper one's on fleabay. I don't know the connector on the ESC's but if it's standard camera lead it'll be usb a to usb b (mini usb - 5 pin)
  9. You alwasy need to prime these engines. Some tanks have a primer, some filters have a primer, you can hold your finger over the exhast and crank the engine a few turns or blow down the pressure line into the tank. All achieve the same effect as you dropping fuel into the carb.
  10. Think I need to re-consider the setup on mine!! Cheers for that.
  11. i was wondering if putting the smaller wheels on would alter the gearing at all i dont want to lose any top end speed any help would be great thanks kev
  12. Nice to see a sensible attitude for a change - wait and see if he'll be amicable about it before slating him in public. Good luck fella!
  13. Can anyone clarify on that?? I've always been told toe-in gives quicker response? Zero toe = quicker but less turn-in, increase toe-in to improve turn-in. Might need to look at the setup on me on-road if this ain't the case?

  16. Starter boxes do look handy but I have a habit of wandering round with my cars so can't be ar*ed to lug one round as well as fuel and tools. None of my cars are running at the moment but only one would work on a box anyway. Got a handheld type starter but even thats out of action atm Good luck with it dude. <div><br></div><div>Nice car by the way - lot of pink??<img src="http://www.msuk-forum.co.uk/public/style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif" alt="" class="bbc_emoticon"></div>
  17. Tbh mate in this weather, better safe than sorry, stick a sock on any everything? But yeah, I think break-in should condition the components with heat first then you build the load up gradually. Did you find out what he'd already done to the engine?
  18. Glad you got it sorted dude. With a Picco engine that thing should fly!! Watch the temps tho on the engine, have a read on t'internet cos generally people suggest you need to be running 200+ degrees I think. Not sure if thats F or C tho lol. There's sleeves available specifically to increase the temp of the engine for break in. With it running so rich, temps will be down and you need proper heat in the engine to condition all the parts. Stick a sock over it and get the temp up.
  19. Blacksmith Products on fleabay seems to have good prices but plenty of places stock em. Check on MS and they range from
  20. Tip for the future - never throw (sorry lose) anything away for these things unless knackered! You end up with boxes of cr*p but it's surprising how often something comes in useful!
