  1. That's all a load of crap when people state 'only use 1/4 throttle and get unto around 55mph' blah blah. I go full wot in a big field all the time with my setup (albeit not for long). The hardest thing I find is keeping the nose down! Mine does 60mph, although I must get around to doing a speed run on some tarmac to find it's true top end.
  2. Yeah still loving my Dhawk shafts, still have not let me down. 🤙
  3. B&M gears and Poseidon mount.
  4. Cheers! Yeah still on 8S, doesn’t need anymore lol
  5. Time for a little bash today
  6. 1:1 is my favourite gear setup!28/28 Mod1.5 no cush drive.
  7. Thanks, yeah pleased the way it came out. I found the fitment of the mounting kit etc no problem at all. Ive got an original raptor body and I actually prefer the fitment of this as the body hugs the sides better and also the body stays on a lot better with this as well (helped with the way I drilled and put on the mounts) it feels nice and snug when I turn the knob to lock the body on. Win win really and no more broken bodies!
  8. Stickered and fitted. Turned out sweet! No more broken bodies!
  9. Not long till my new body arrives! Glad I held out for metallic silver! EDIT: Arrived today!
  10. Damn That’s a really good price. A lot better than I thought it would be! Tempted to get one at that price.
  11. No a very optimistic person are you?
  12. No it does not. Warranty 100% in tact. I checked with the company that sell's them.
  13. Makes no difference to me. First thing I’ll be doing is sticking EC5’s on when they arrive! Hopefully these will give my motor the power it deserves, I can’t find a better alternative for the spec/money ratio. They say they are a true 100c and being 8000Mah should give a noticable boost in run time. I will certainly be letting you know my thoughts when I run them.

  15. Little update, I've actually cancelled my order of Graphene 4s 6000mah from hobbyking and instead (after looking about) for a bit more money you can get a much better spec battery from Ludicrous Lipo's. Nice that it's a UK company as well, reviews on them seem very positive so I'm gonna take a punt on these as they seem to be the best out there without importing from the US. They come with a 6 month warranty for piece of mind. LUDICROUS Lipo's 8000mAh 4s 14.8v Race Spec Lipo: LUDICROUS LI-PO's offer an excellent value by providing factory direct pricing and quality that meets or exceeds that of other major battery manufacturers. Our batteries go through strict testing and quality control procedures in order to provide extremely accurate mAh, Voltage, and C ratings. Don't let their low cost fool you, these batteries outperform major manufacturers batteries!! 16. Nuts are up inside, something of which I'm changing to some domed versions when they arrive in the post for added neatness. Batteries won't budge mate with the straps, they are very secure. I can pick the whole weight of my truck up with the straps holding by hand so I think they can handle the weight of the lipo's. When they are strapped in they are staying in!
  17. My motor is the Leopard V2 58113 (8000w/1050kv). My 40/50c Zippy's do fine to be fair for regular bashing etc no no problem there. I've ordered a pair of Graphene 4s 6000mah 65/130c to try (can't have enough batteries anyway) which I'll be using more for speed runs as that's where I'll notice the difference most. I might try a pair of Gens Ace 6750Mah 4S 70c/140c later too. Just as well I fitted my straps which I have to say is a much nicer and neater way to mount the batteries, as the Graphene 4s 6000mah would not fit otherwise.
  18. Looking about I think I'm going to go for some Gens Ace 6750Mah 4S 70c/140c batteries. They seem to be pretty highly rated and better than the Graphene's.
  19. Thought as much. With a stock motor no wonder you can't tell, it does not draw nothing like the amps my motor does.
  20. What motor are you running though with your xmaxx?
  21. Made myself some battery strap holders from carbon fibre last night, work a treat. Main reason is so I can try some taller batteries. I've been thinking of getting some Turnigy Graphene 6000mAh 4S 65C/130C batteries but they are quite a bit bigger than my current Zippy's. Anyone else tried the Turnigy Graphene 6000mAh 4S 65C/130C?
  22. Pimped up my Badlands tonight! Didn't turn out too shabby.
  23. ^^ Looks nice I'm getting a unbreakable raptor body myself, I was going to get the white version. But I am holding out till March time now as I want their new upcoming metallic silver colour (my perfect colour!). There is also a blue colour coming out before the silver also.
  24. Thats more like it. My estimation for price was not far off!
