That looks great, on my st, I used the traxxas wp one on top of the centre diff plate, but that looks much neater, and simpler when you need to work on it.

How did you get on with this in the end? I`ve just had a similar center diff failure, but only on 4s, the planet gears are now welded into the diff case.

Yeah they`re the same ones, use the ally one in the rear as that will be under most load, and as the weight tranfers over the rear end under hard acceleration, it`ll have the most grip too, which in turn will put it under more stress.

Have finished the hyper st, and its a lot of fun, but have had issues with chassis flex and that's resulted in damage to my losi motor. Have improvised some extra bracing, but it still needs more....... Have been sorting out a couple of bl buggies as well, firstly a TT eb4 s3. Came unfinished, so needed a battery tray sorting, a motor and generally sorting out. No pics during and there is some future development of the bracing to be made, want to fit shorter turn buckles to the front, mounting them to the front of the center diff housing and then fit another pair fromt the rear of the center diff to the rear shock tower........ This one has a 100a orion r10sc esc and a hk 3000kv motor on 3s, its not mind blowing on 3s but is no slouch either, first run yesterday at a local ish.....skate park and was gong well until a hard ish landing revealed a bodge by its previous owner and stopped play. Bits on the way............ Onto this which is coming along nicely Bought this hyper 8 roller off here. Had a few bits waiting Started last night Something isn`t right Here`s why, needed the longer ones to match the motor mount sorted cut this to go tight up to this fits like this and brings the batt tray inboard a bit for better weight distribution modded the laydown servo mount to help hide the cables and keep them out of harms way all leading to this..... Layout will look like this That's where its up to at the mo, more to come.............

The lst2 tranny isn`t a weak point, they should be fine once you`ve got them into good condition, remember these are not new trucks and any lst2 is at least 4yrs old, lst1 more like 10yrs old, so chances are they`ve seen some action. I used to beat the crap out of all of mine and never had problems with tranny`s.

If you've got a busted servo, or dead rx pack cut the wires a few inches from the plug, then join the outside ones together and your set.......
