540 brushless , mine is a 7.5 orion vortex and his is a hpi flux 7.5 brushless motor , they are both perfect with the stock 2080kv brushless motor in but lack speed alot lol

My mates does the exaxt same thing on 2s with a 120amp esx and a hpi 7.5 brushless motor too , so the only thing i can think of is the gearing , the heat has split the esc + 12guage outer casing on the cable too lol

Cheers mate , i need to find out what type of pinion it is now lol , im sure is just a leccy converted nitro version so am i right in rhinking its mod 1 ?

Hi guys , i have a turnigy trooper 4x4 brushless , ive put my vxl 3s esc in and ran the stock 2080kv motor with not one single issue , now ive just bought a 7.5t sensored orion vortex brushless motor and it runs 100% without the pinion on , as soon as its all bolted in and ready to go it seems as though there is a rev limiter like on a 1/1 scale and it all gets hot to the point the battery cables have melted , the pinion is 14t but im unsure what tooth the center diff is ? , would you say its an over gearing issue ? My mate got it at 12:01 lastnight , we qued up from 8pm at tesco lol , ive not played it yet though , but it looks nice amd the pad deels really nice in hand too , the console is suprisingly heavy though jay

Savage 52t spur gears fit , i used to run a steel one on mine , i think i just used a bearing instead of the brass bushing and remeshed the gears to fit
