  1. Currently in my 2nd year of a MSci in maths. Hope to go onto mechanical or aeronautical engineering. Also work at WHSmith's between 12-20 hours a week during term time and pretty much full time during holidays.
  2. Sounds like a very good price mate, think you will need new crystals as I don't think you can run 35mhz on it but may be wrong. Bargain tbh, going to get myself down to some car boot sales soon lol
  3. I'm looking at either the SH. 28 or STS .28. Heard good reviews for both. During break in just wear gloves, I remember when I broke in Hyper 7 engine, my hands were not the same for a couple of weeks after that lol.
  4. I like that video, any breakages? lol
  5. Great videos! Enjoyed watching them both.
  6. I'd check the movement on the clutch bell mate, did you put the shims back in the order they came off? If that's all fine then make sure you mesh it correctly. Then hopefully it should be fine
  7. When you take the clutch bell off you would have seen a couple of shims along with the bearings. If you look at this link you can see the clutch bell, bearings and shims just so you know what I mean. http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Hobao-13-Tooth-Clutchbell-Bearings-Shims-Hyper-7-8-/150443616690#ht_500wt_1182 If you don't have enough shims the clutch bell will have too much movement back and forth. I know if I plan on taking my engine out before I run the car next and just screw it in any old way, I get this metal noise due to the gears not being meshed properly. If your unsure on how to mesh the gears correctly, check out this video. Hope this helps.
  8. I'd save it personally for something you really need/want...
  9. Does the clutch bell need more shims? If you take the engine out how much movement do you have back and forth from the clutch bell? Could be the shoes as well. On another note, where in the west midlands are you based? Would try and give you a hand but I have uni exams all week.
  10. To me it sounds like the gears aren't meshed correctly.
  11. Wicked mate, will definitely keep an eye out
  12. Some cool pictures! Where do the TM bash's normally take place? Seen some videos/pics and would love to come to a bash when exams are out of the way.
  13. What sort of price range you looking at mate? I'm in the same boat at the moment lol.
  14. The thicker 4mm's take 3mm e-clips, the thinner 3mm's take 2.3mm.
  15. Will be fine as long as you don't go over the overdraft mate, just like a normal transaction but through paypal.
  16. Looks good mate! Think I may have a go at making one when I finish my exams.
  17. That's an expensive way of doing it lol. A manual would have been a lot cheaper. Tuning wise, get some replacement screws and then return it to factory settings and start again, it's pointless imo taking it to a model shop for that as they will only do the same thing, plus if your planning on racing you need to know how to tune it tbf. Hope you get it sorted soon mate
  18. Can't wait for the next series
  19. I run this 2 stage filter http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/HYPER-9-PRO-2-STAGE-AIR-FILTER-/230432425162?cmd=ViewItem&pt=UK_ToysGames_RadioControlled_JN&hash=item35a6d7c4ca#ht_500wt_1182 That fits fine for me tbh. Also have a waterproof two stage filter but can't remember which one it is off the Modelsport website.
  20. Looks wicked lol try and get some vids when you take it out tomorrow if you can
