  1. Are xt150's the same as ec5? It looks the same
  2. I'm in cov but there's nothing or no one around
  3. Ok thanks for the advice, I've set it back to Intermediate
  4. Thanks, that's what it was set to previously. I was just a bit concerned when some of the cells showed 3.1v, and that was after I got it home so they had time to 'bounce back'. Could have been even lower in the field. I was also concerned about the fact it cut all power on a high speed run, surely it shouldn't do that 🤔
  5. Hi all, A question about my Hobbywing Max 6 LVC... I previously had it set to 'Intermediate' but after a bash sesh, my lipo would sometimes read anything from 3.1-3.4v/cell. Also, when triggered, the LVC would just aggressively cut all power to the vehicle and I couldn't drive it anymore after it did. It also didn't brake it, it just cut all power. So if I was going full-throttle at the time, it would just coast until it hit something... NOT GOOD! So, I just changed the LVC settings to 'high', and took it out for a bash. After an unusually short amount of time, I found the throttle was getting cut and the brake was aggressively being applied. I assume this is how the LVC is supposed to work? It still let me run for about another 5 mins before it locked the brakes for good, and I called it a day. Got home and all cells were reading 3.9v. So my question is, is there some secret to getting the LVC to cut in around 3.5v/cell, but to also warn you when you're getting near (not just cutting all power)? Thanks for any help
  6. That's a crazy fast servo! I was looking to buy the SV1271SG which I thought was the fastest but yours is even faster!
  7. Have decided to keep - please close
  8. I don't think I'd want to put glue in there tbh. Sorry if I'm gonna sell it then it'll have to be for the asking price + postage.
  9. I just used small pieces of duct tape to cover the holes without issue
  10. Considering selling my SSS 4092 2140kV motor. Just a feeler for the time being. Bought new off Bangood for £90. Good condition, absolutely no problems. It's a complete beast of a motor, massively powerful, 92mm long. Smooth can so a heatsink can make full contact. It has 2x3mm mounting holes and I've also tapped 2x4mm mounting holes. £50 https://uk.banggood.com/SSS-40922140KV-Brushless-Motor-4-Poles-WO-Water-Cooling-For-RC-Boats-Electric-p-1216334.html?cur_warehouse=CN
  11. Will the wheelie bar fit on the Talion? If so I'll take it

    Motor

They use the same motors. I've been running it in my Talion with no issues

    TP 4070 motor

Thanks for the advice, looking in the 2000-2200kv range. I was looking at ones on ebay as they're cheaper, and the seller said he could mark down the value so I don't get charged customs. Ideally I'm looking used though as they're still expensive...

Looking for a TP 4070 motor
  16. 30 mins away from me... next time you go can you PM me?? Cheers
  17. I'm in Cov, doesn't seem to be many people around
  18. Ok just taken out the Talion on my current setup, pretty certain putting any more power into it will destroy it... It's more than powerful enough as it is. I think I'm just expecting 70mph on short grass which is almost unachievable
  19. Hi guys, Looking for another option rather than strapping my phone to my rc. What's the cheapest GPS speed monitor? Currently I've got my eye on the Garmin Edge 200 but it's £40...
  20. Hi guys, I understand why electric cars have no multispeed gearbox; because the torque band is linear and there is no peak torque/RPM like there is in traditional gas engines. However, would it not be beneficial to have a 2-speed gearbox in my Talion? Then I wouldn't need to worry so much about what pinion to run. I could run a large pinion on all terrain, as the 1st gear in the 2-speed gearbox will reduce the strain on the motor, until the vehicle is up to speed where it'll shift into the second gear to achieve greater top speed. This would keep the motor and esc heat down by not straining it at low RPM. Am I missing something?
  21. Hiya,I'm looking for more speed out of my rig without resorting to an expensive TP 4070cm...Currently run a SSS 4092 2140kV on 6s with no issues.Would 8s break the motor? I think it has a 45-60k rpm/min max speed. Theoretically I'm not going to be going WOT for long periods of time due to space constraints, or if I am it will be on grass. So that should keep the motor RPM down...If the motor does break, would it still be able to brake the vehicle? That would be my main concern!
