I personally would go up to 1/8 scale, being bigger they can easily take a hell of a lot more abuse, and handle far far harder terrain compared to 1/10 scale RCs in the same class - same model or style, And there are a hell of as lot of 1/8 scale RCs that are the same class as the ARMA 1/10 Outcast, that are cheaper, and very very good, Corally for examply make a number that get rated very highly and all cost less than the 1/10 scale Outcast.

@Grogg The problem with 1/8 scales is that they usually require 6S for really good speed and power, on 4S, they can be a little tame and boring.

Thats why the ‘beefy’ 1/10 trucks like the Maxx, Sketer and K4SV2 are good, you only need 4S lipos to have lots of power and speed. They can handle fairly rough terrain and grass without being slowed down or thrown around.

tbh running costs are an issue for me with 6s cars. I tend to run about 5 or 6 packs through my cars in one go when out bashing with my friends. For 6s this doubles the cost of my batteries. That’s the reason I tend to steer towards 3s/4s cars
