  1. i agree with tamiyacowboy, but get a simulator to train on first, and learn the basic controls i'd suggest the esky FMS package because it's really cheap THEN buy the nine eagles plane
  2. there is an fms computer controller that you can buy for not very much linky here should do the job but don't expect that sim to be very realistic, just for learning basic controls
  3. first, buy the Esky fms sim controller, but buy clearview to use with it then buy a hobbyzone supercub if you really want lipo then get the supercub LP those planes are easy to learn on, very durable and easy to fix when the break make sure you can fly easily on the sim before trying the real thing and remember: it's always harder than you think it is
  4. my suggestions: smooth but not slow-to-react control movements, not jerking around when launching, don't just swing your arm, try to get your hand moving in a straight line hold almost full throttle on takeoff in a dive or spin cut power and give slight up elevator fly high until you get used to flying it, then you can come lower for more excitement don't fly if it's windy enough to fly kites (with beginner planes, anyway) DON'T PANIC!
  5. that sounds like me with my hobbyzone firebird phantom, i'm amazed the tail boom didn't break!
  6. i got one of those a while back and was very pleased with it, but the mounts are too wobbily for rc cars, it's heavier than the keychain cam and can't take pictures much easier to hold discreetly tho
  7. hi i had a firebird for my first plane and loved it, really good trainer so this deal thing with the firebird looks like you're well on your way to learning to fly just be careful as if you crash the tail can break quite easily
  8. hey guys i have AFPD (aerofly proffessional deluxe but i don't have the controller for it, and my esky controller won't work with it can anyone help me/ suggest a solution?
  9. yes i do, and they work fine, but i'm changing all my crystals to the same frequency so i can control my helicopter AND my plane with the same TX
  10. i have recently purchased these 35.16mhz crystals for my esky lama v3 when they arrived they were in a padded envelope with nothing other than the crystals and casing, as shown in the picture oddly, the crystal labled tx was NOT in the plastic casing, which i thought was odd. i switched the crystals over in the casing, then set to work putting them in the helicopter. the plastic casing would not fit in the tx, so i had to move the crystals into different cases again. when i eventually got the crystals in the tx and rx, i tested it. the helicopter flashed red for a bit, (normal) then left the light off for a bit, (not normal) then proceeded to flash red, green, red, green, etc that i know means that it is not getting proper signal any help? i'm desperate here!
  11. helicopter+plane =hellane?

  12. whatever you do, don't get a royal flash kit instructions are clear as mud, parts are low quality and break easily, and stones often jam between the pinion and spur, meaning you have to buy spares alot. the same applies to the master smacker the step up stinger looks perfect
  13. ok guys no need for any more help as i just got all the cyrstals i needed in a different frequency, including the tx thanks for the help anyway! i hope to make a build slideshow on the plane this is for relatively soon
  14. thanks for the help but i can't find micro sized crystals in the frequency i want, can you help me find them? i'm looking for 35.870 mhz i need 35.870 because i already have a 35.870 mhz crystal in my tx
  15. i'm going to get a plane kit from flyingwings.co.uk soon and have been looking at a small 4 channel receiver, i quite the look of this corona receiver, but i'm not sure if these crystals will work in it, as it says it uses um-5 size, but i don't think these are. please advise on whether they will work and what i need to get that will work. p.s. they must be 35.870 MHZ p.p.s i just found this i think that might work, but is 5OU the same as UM-5?
