  1. My son has just fitted a Hobbywing 4700 brushless system to his Blitz, along with a 3 cell lipo. Blimey,it's quick. Bit of a problem now with parachuting! Blitzen Blitz.
  2. CKRC 4 wheel drive Short Course Truck for sale. CKRC alloy chassis, HPI MT2 front and rear ends. Needs a rebuild, but easy project. Fitted with 2.4 Ghz radio and heavy duty servo. Front end fitted with alloy wishbones. New tyres fitted, not tyres in photo. Hobbywing 4700 brushless motor gives high performance. Supplied complete with radio, carry bag, 6000MaH Lipo battery, charger, etc. Listed as spares, but almost ready to go. Asking
  3. Depends on what's needed. If heavy duty, such as filling shocks or major work like diffs, then it's the man cave. Otherwise on my lap in the lounge.
  4. Had a similar problem with my rx.Plugs were in the end,not on top, which would have been OK. Took the rx apart and the works then fitted into a Blitz box nicely. May be it would work for you?
  5. Hi folks. There's certainly a wide variety of methods used.
  6. Just stripped, cleaned and rebuilt the front and back of my SC. 6000 Mah 3 cell Lipo's on charge. New springs fitted.I reckon she's good to go know. Hopefully the bigger batts will give me a decent time.
  7. I'm running Trenchers on my SC. 4 W/D with 3 cell Lipo and a 4700 Hobbywing set up. Quite a heavy beast. Doesn't seem to matter what surface I'm running on. Good tyre.
  8. When I got the CKRC short course,it was only a roller. Now,it's a goer. However, when it came to the radio,I wanted sticks. Had a look round and settled on the Tamco 2 channel system. When I got it,the throttle was on the left, I prefer right. No problem, easily switched round. Then the receiver. It fitted the box on the truck but the box had no lid. The receiver plugs come out of the end so I needed a long box and waterproof. I ended up up with a Blitz box and the receiver wouldn't fit. Bit of thought,I took the receiver gubbins out of it's case and tried it. Voila! it fitted. Bit of re-arrangment of wires and job done. Apparently there are no receivers that will work with this transmitter so I've saved myself a few pounds. Happy bunny.
  9. Fitted a set of Asiatees alloy "C's" to my CKRC. Break no more (I hope). Next job is to strip and rebuild the back end and do the shocks. Got to find a receiver to fit the Blitz box and that will bind with the Tamco tx.
  10. Another angle is to play around with the shocks. Heavier oil,or a different angle on the offending corner.
  11. I wouldn't say there worth importing from the us Only because of hideous charges by the Post Offiice and, of course, VAT. I did have a Groundpounder monster truck and that was good fun. Sadly lost in a house fire.
  12. Saturday was a set of Trenchers, today, a Savox servo, a bag to carry my bits in and a kettle lead for the charger. Still to come is a turnbuckle spanner and a set of alloy servo mounts. Should be in the next couple of days.
  13. I've selected a couple of my favourites.
  14. Just out of curiousity, how do folks carry their cars? I'm thinking of getting a large sports bag for the truck + spare batteries, tools etc. More convenient to just pick up and go.
  15. Just bought a set of Trenchers for the truck,so that's my budget gone this month. Next month will be a couple of 6000 Mah Lipo's so I'll be able to get out more. I bought the truck late last year as a roller and have spent about
  16. I ordered a set of Trenchers in the very early hours of Friday morning and they were delivered on Saturday morning. Well done Modelsport. Now got a Savox servo on order from them.
  17. Can you imagine the Capri with an insane brushless set up?
  18. http://www.amazon.co.uk/Battery-Charger-Alpha-Digital-Cameras/dp/B003VFRJIC/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1391122071&sr=8-2&keywords=sony+alpha+300+charger You should invest in something like this. I use a Nikon camera and always charge outside the camera. I use a grip as well. When I go out on a shoot I have a good stock of 16 GB memory cards and 4 spare batteries.
  19. I would like some advice as to how to set up a 4 wheel drive truck please. The problem is that the truck pushes wide on the turn. I don't know what weight of oil is in the shocks so I intend to drain them and refill. But with what weight? Same front and rear, lighter or heavier in the front. Any advice is welcome. When I put a bigger battery in,it'll shift the weight slightly backwards which might help. And what about springs? Harder front? r rear? Help. Thanks guys.
  20. That's the card I got with my combo. Easy easy to use and works a treat. Why bother with fancy gizmos?
  21. Ask and ye shall receive. My truck has got it's lid on. I agree about the packs. The tray will take a NiMh pack so should be OK.If memory serves me right, a 5000 Lipo is the same size.
  22. Just been out to play with the truck. As expected, the run time with 2200 Lipo's (3 cell) is only about 15 mins. Get some beefier ones. Next problem is massive understeer. on tarmac and Blitz tyres. Also, because of it, it's tearing the front tyres off the rims. It's the tyre that's tearing, the glue is holding. I hope the trenchers I have on order are better. Mind you, maybe I should stick to a softer, dirt surface. Also broke another "C" carrier. Alloy ones are on order. Apart from that it's a good 'un. Goes like a rat up a drainpipe in a straight line.
  23. Meals in order of the day. Breakfast, 07.00; Lunch 12.00; Tea, 18.00 and Dinner at 21.00. Sorted.
