  1. Excuse the rubbish parking, it's 7AM on a bank holiday
  2. What are the thermal qualitys of this stuff like? Seems a bit like putting a coat on then running a marathon. Having said that, I guess anything that gets hot in an ESC is stuck to the heatsink anyway
  3. Police interceptors used to be great, evos and scoobies chasing bad guys down the motorways at 140+. Now it's just some bloke plodding around in a brown diesel skoda with a dog.
  4. Reviews for cheap items on halfords be like "Attitude to Shopping: Quality Seeker - I'd rather spend a little extra on something if I know its going to last"

  5. More W isn't a direct link to more temp. It's how well the iron holds it's temp when you're trying to heat something up. My 30W antec iron is enough for that massive turnigy wire when used with good 60/40 solder. A mate has a 100W cheap no name iron and it's hopeless for anything other than small items. So get something quality or the W rating is just a made up figure.
  6. Rooting through piles of junk in the shed, when suddenly, a wild beast appears. http://i.imgur.com/yeXfHiF.jpg totally forgot I had one

  7. Scroll to the top of the page Click on your name in the top right Click "My settings" Go to "Signature" which is the third option down on the left hand side Put the link to your feedback in the text box Never have to paste it into every post again
  8. If you don't go off road buy a road bike. So much nicer than dragging a mtb about. You could have the extra time in bed
  9. They're a great car, and if I've guessed your postcode to some level of accuracy then it's not that far away. Got to be worth a look?
  10. http://www.autotrader.co.uk/classified/advert/201403082342510/sort/locasc/usedcars/page/1/model/1_series/price-to/4500/radius/50/onesearchad/used%2Cnearlynew%2Cnew/maximum-mileage/up_to_70000_miles/make/bmw/postcode/de11rf/fuel-type/petrol?logcode=p Sorted Full service history, good wheels and the driver looks to not be a total moron as it's in gear. Only thing I'd look out for is panels that aren't the same colour as well as all the normal signs of a crash

  12. A lipo will keep burning under water, it doesn't need oxygen as everything it needs for a nice fire is inside it already
  13. You mention DRIVING a lot, so I guess you like it... http://www.autotrader.co.uk/classified/advert/201402131769104/sort/default/usedcars/page/1/onesearchad/used%2Cnearlynew%2Cnew/make/mazda/postcode/hx11ya/radius/40/quicksearch/true/model/mx-5?logcode=p http://www.autotrader.co.uk/classified/advert/201402111710724/sort/default/usedcars/page/1/onesearchad/used%2Cnearlynew%2Cnew/make/mazda/postcode/hx11ya/radius/40/quicksearch/true/model/mx-5?logcode=p The one I'd buy: http://www.autotrader.co.uk/classified/advert/201402081647740/sort/default/usedcars/page/1/onesearchad/used%2Cnearlynew%2Cnew/make/mazda/postcode/hx11ya/radius/40/quicksearch/true/model/mx-5?logcode=p All should be pretty close to you if I've guessed the postcode right enough

I was sure they'd all have gone well below 3V each, went out with a bin bag to take them down the tip in

Which kit? Expect to pay another 20% plus a tenner for fees and if you don't get hit it's a bonus.

  17. That sounds much better, didn't say anything before on the mantra that if you don't have anything nice to say, don't say anything
  18. Well, that was a little more in depth than I was expecting for an Rc forum I just picked this up, loving it so far.
  19. When you actually make the joint between the motor and the wires you don't normally add any solder at all. You tin the wire and the tab with solder, then line up the wire on top of the tab and heat it with the iron. You do need a decent iron though, I've used an antex 25W for years and never struggled. Using works cheap 100W iron is hopeless though, no where near enough power. Just remembered I did this guide years ago http://www.msuk-forum.co.uk/topic/54990-how-to-solder-deans-connectors/?hl=deans
  20. A few minutes with amazon.co.uk and amazon.com open in two tabs will have you livid. Everything is super cheap on .com
