  1. Yes please I'll have one. Is bank transfer OK though?
  2. They are nice, although when the owners were shutting doors/bonnets it sounded like someone dropping an empty milk carton!

Hmm, I'd be going halves with my dad and he wants a 4 seater so MX5 is out.

    4. (-:AD:-)
  6. In that case, nope. Was only in that pit briefly and they chucked some fresh tyres on and went out again!
  7. Thanks Rich. I have no idea what what that means
  8. Oulton Park. Qualifying on Saturday and racing on the Monday weirdly. I'll only be there on the Saturday.
  9. Thanks. Nope, it clashes with Brit GT. BTCC doesn't really appeal to me TBH.
  10. Cheers for the edit Rich As Rich mentioned I may have been away. Wasn't really feeling it that much with camera (well I did feel the weight!) but here's a few of the better shots;
  11. Quickie from today: Regarding the wedding Carl, I wouldn't do your first one on your own. Shadow someone else who does them professionally (or regularly). I did that and honest to god I wouldn't ever do one again, let alone on my own. Too much stress!!
  12. Here be my new car, MK1 Fabia VRs... Feels like the enterprise compared to my old 1.4ltr Fiesta! Might get it remapped next insurance year...
  13. I thought about doing one but didn't in the end, hell I even started a thread on here... http://www.msuk-forum.co.uk/topic/158657-intensive-driving-courses/?hl=%2Bintensive+%2Bdriving+%2Bcourse I wouldn't. You honestly you learn jack **** and probably only scrape through the test... You probably won't drive in fog or adverse conditions either.
  14. Well in that case it's a bugger to do. Best I can suggest is frame the shot get the focus etc and then ask the chef to quickly turn the hotlamps off, fire the shot again then put the lamps back on. Better if the kitchen has some natural light obv. Guess you're shooting during service also if it's done under hotlamps? Again, not ideal as using a tripod gets in the way.
  15. Will also mention that black background does no favours. Generally with food the lighter the better. With the beetroot and goats cheese thing the highlights are blown on the goats cheese, plus the underside of the plate and surrounds is all dark. The burger wants the shadows pulling out too. This is not perfect I know but it was side lit. I think a shallow DOF also helps with food Chocolate Brownie! by Harry Measures, on Flickr
  16. Carl, they all look a bit yellow? I've done some pub stuff, looks like you've shot them near the hot lamps?
  17. Outrunning people who take the **** out of his car? I quite like those, especially the coupes!

New to me sadly so TiM! it is a proper 'stick shift' as they call it! That said you can't by the MK1 new anymore :P Getting shot of my fiesta horrible box of misery!

  20. 50D is a good option although maybe look at a 5Dc? Full frame and all
  21. Looks like you've got a sharp copy there, Carl A quick shoot from a few weeks ago. Quick as in 120mph there, 10 minutes to get some shots and 120 on the way back... Porsche 911 by Harry Measures, on Flickr

I know people who's car has passed MOT ( dodgy one ) where the car should be written off

      stretch

as the others have say advisory is nothing to worry about and is the testers discretion.
