  1. Too tight to use a handbrake in case it wears out?????? Good god man, pull it up nice and tight, the number of clicks is irrelavant. are you aware that most modern handbrakes self adjust to accomodate stretch? I find it unbelievable your car is rolling around the road potentially causing an accident, because you fancy yourself as an amateur mechanic.
  2. Durango has shocking customer service. I bought a 210 rtr as a present last christmas. The speedo was faulty, as was the reciever. they promised to send new electrics but im still waiting 12 month on! Thanks durango. Bought a kyosho in the end.
  3. That seems very reasonable. I will see what her indoors thinks. Anyone else thinking of selling?
  4. +1for fastrax enduro, i have one in my losi 8, great engine. Couldnt fault it at double the price!
  5. Im only looking for one thanks mate, how much for each one?
  6. Dont have a budjet in mind yet, it depends on the model. Pm me your prices please and i will have a think.
  7. Hi im looking for a reasonably priced off road 4wd to buy at the end of the month. I can collect if in the north west or midlands or arrange courier. Thanks david
  8. I had the thunder tiger eb4 s2pro rtr and it was great. The engine was the best i have had in a rtr really fast. Really tough as well. Wish i hadnt sold it but i decided i wanted a change.
  9. I think its accepted by anyone with a functioning brain that popular doesnt always mean good! Or we would all be sat here in our one direction t shirts drinking coke for breakfast. I dont mean to sound patronising but do know that 9 out of 10 rc cars (hobby grade) will never see a track and their owners will never use an rc forum. These arent my made up statistics. They are losi statistics and the reason there is a losi brand and a seperate tlr brand. Basic tamiya models with the standard 540 motor (that you dislike so much), dont break. They dont go fast enough. Most parents who buy a kit or rtr model dont expect it to go so fast that it smashes to pieces in a crash. That is the market for these products and tamiya are very good at servicing this market. To be honest im surprised no other manufacturer has downgraded some of their cars and tried to sell through mainstream toy shops. I remember Tamiya and kyosho were in stock at argos many moons ago, and in toy shops. Anyway higher spec wont always be more popular or better. It depends on the purpose of the product. This is why my mum drives a 1.2 tfsi golf. And not the r32. Feel free to argue which is the better car, but i know which one suits the job.
  10. I love the fact that you think tamiya is 'getting away with it'! Tamiya is a hugely successful company with excellent top of the range racing kits that are competitive in many classes at world championship level. They also make kits that are not aimed at racers, they are purely meant to be fun. They are making kits that sell, and make them a profit! If you dont like the price compared to the specification of the kit, dont buy it. This has been a ridiculous thread. I might start one about me not liking corn flakes. It would be just as pointless. Kelloggs dont even include bearings in them and the motor is crap. I might do a review on frosties and complain they are just the same as back in 1987. Wheres the product development? Still using corn and sugar, not even the addition of a third shock absorber. Boring, pointless sh#te.
  11. Anyone? Or a link to any uk stock? Really struggling to find any.

    Minis!

138mph in a non turbo A series engine, with a four speed box? What had you done to it? Were you being towed behind a ferrari?
  14. Hi, just after opinions, any advice appreciated. I have a hyper 7 rtr nitro and an ansmann vapor brushless, The hyper seems to be higher quality and the ansmann bends and breaks all the time! the hyper has a faulty pullstart, and im considering trying to fit the electric setup in the hyper. Its a 3s setup and has plenty enough power for me, and runs for nearly 20 mins on cheap overlander cells. Thats if the car doesnt break! The hyper seems to handle much better, even though the ansmann has big bores. My questions are, should i stick with the ansmann and hop up the parts that break/ bend? Or convert? Setup help for the both may help also, the grip roll is not too bad on the hyper, but really bad on the vapor. I can turn the steering right down and it will still roll at what seems to be a low speed. Final question, should i put the big bores on the hyper? Any help appreciated, regards to oils/springs etc Thanks
