My reasoning behind going large scale is there will be less chance of an incident given their stability compared to something smaller? Theres ee is a place local to me (hull) which I have to check out first but may mean I need to go somehing smaller and nitro like aqua craft top speed 2 type boat.

Hi guys and girls I'm not new to modelling but very new to boats! Iv raced 1/8 nitro offroad and dabbled in 1/5 scale offroad but have recently moved away from the local tracks and now become obsessed with large scale 2strike boats but no idea where to start! Love be to get into 1/4 scale f1 tunnel hull (think that's what they're called) or 1/8 hydro but not sure what's advantages of each hull? Any specific handling characteristics of each type? Any reason to avoid one of the other? Also so any shops around the uk that are a good source for petrol boat stuff?
