scooby.ben
Got £600 to spend. I want preferably a stadium truck. Needs to be fast and look good. Only other important feature is that it needs to be a kit. These prebuilt ones annoy me.
waz
Very nice budget to play with there I'd say a MT or a buggy would be better suited to that budget, (Stadium trucks for low budgets). If you need it to be a kit, a top-end buggy that would suit your budget perfectly would be the TT EB4 S3. However, I think the perfect choice for a begginner would be a savage 4.6, buy some good radio gear and servo's, and it'll cost you about 450. tornado/rushowner
nice budget!!! i suggest you get the savage!, but spend some money on hop ups/ spares!

Noddy_Noden
Yes, the Xray is supposed to be one of the best buggys around mate - get one of those.
scooby.ben
ok so the buggy is sorted. Xray it is. Any recomendations for the engine, pipe, radio gear. £290ish left to spend.
waz
Radio, something that'd be a good start would be the spectrum dsm. You would then have 120 left to sepnd on the engine and pipe, me personally, I think getting the xb8 as your first car is way overkill and pointless. Get something cheaper, something you can easily bash around. Go to your local store and see what they stock parts for.

waz
The wasp 28 is meant to be a real stubborn engine, not suitable for a begginner at all. Not really suitable for a buggy either, should really be a 21, with high rev's.
dazzi220
or! send the cash to me, I'll buy a buggy and tell you what it is like!? .......just a thought
scooby.ben
its not my first car. It'll be my first 8th scale buggy. I decided against a monster truck like the savage after owning a kyosho one a couple of years ago (the one blue one with the reverse gear) cos they aren't that stable. c0sie
if your buying a 1/8th buggy DONT by a .26 or .28, thats just plain dumb. get a .21 and then yoiu still have the option to race with it too...youll find alot of the 1/8th truggy racers use .21's for there top end power. rb S7II comes out at £170ish..youll need a pipe too. im only using a Futaba 2PL 40mhz AM tx as the whole set cost me £65..bargain. hi-torque servos are about .£35 each.. yadayada

Big T
If you want to be really silly with power would you not be able to fit a Collari .30 and then just gear it so you have as much acceleration as traction will allow and a mental top speed? c0sie
youd need to make sure your diff gears (internal) were made of hardened steel... be scared...
Big T
True......and if you are anything like me you will need hardened steel suspension and spoiler mounts

nikilah
i am selling a mugen mbx5 buggy. it is brand new in box but is an american import so is part built. in my experience, the mugen is an easier car to drive. (i also own an xray which i am also selling by the way) there are so many adjustments on the xray, it is quite easy to confuse yourself. 123456
Depends on if you are racing or not really. The Xray is a top piece of kit but unless I was a serious racer, going every single wee and hoping to win the A final then it is a tad over the top!!!
