Hex Wheel Hubs for 6mm shafts

Jens

Recommended Posts

I have been looking like crazy for Hex Wheel hubs in a specific size and cannot find them.

Maybe someone can help?

I am looking for 12mm Hex wheel hubs with a 6mm inner diameter.

Something similar that are used for a Traxxas TRX-4.

( But the TRX-4 ones don't fit on my Rustler )

Maybe there are models that come out of the factory with 6mm driveshafts and 12mm hexes?

Any pics of the hex drive , if you could send me a sample I can make you a set .

You mean 3D printed?

I am hoping to find Alloy or other metal ones.

The previous ones were plastic and didn't last long.

Here is an example from ebay with 12mm but only with a 5mm hole (I need 6mm):

https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/12MM-WHEEL-HEX-HUBS-TAMIYA-1-10-ALLOY-02134-102042-RC-CAR-HPI-HSP/313184347545?hash=item48eb3de599:g:GNAAAOSwvSJfQVLj

Some sellers advertise a 6mm hole.

Bought one of them just to figure out that they are only 5mm.

Had to return them.

I can modify those ones on eBay for you , I’m a RC parts manufacture base in the uk , I mainly cater for 1/5th buggies , but do from time to time do 1/10th and 1/8th parts .

Oh. I see. Cool!

Looks like I am lucky with you. 😇😇😇

Can I tell you what I need?

And can I presume that you understood the part that I need, based on my description and the link above as example?

I need a wheel hex hub with these measurements:

Outer diameter 12mm hex.

Inner diameter 6mm round.

Thickness 8mm.

The type that I look for is the one where I first put a pin into the axle and then slide the hex hub over.

I hope you understand.

I would guess that you just take an existing hub with a 5mm hole and then expand the hole to 6mm.

Right?

The ones in the link are just an example I quickly looked for.

These would the ones with 8mm thickness:

https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/4PCS-12mm-Wheel-Hub-Hex-Drive-Extension-Adaptor-For-1-10-RC-4-UK-FAST/313344027728?hash=item48f4c26c50:g:4gEAAOSwPktf2IkL

Just a question: You widen the bore with perfect precision, right?

I want to fix them on my Rustler VXL tuned to go 65mph
