capri-boy
Pics please! Assuming you got two batteries then a hobbywing wpsc8 would be the usual suggestion for running 4s on a sensible budget.
Coopers87
not got it yet, hopefully thursday/friday and will post then, yeah comes with two of these batteries, but not sure if they run with one battery or two together, new to this 1/8 scale size stuff lol, cheers for the inut. Oh How Original
Both at the same time chap. 2s on 2100kv will be painfully slow, that's like crawler speed lol.
Coopers87
just going to use what it comes with for now, presuming it runs two batteries at a time will need some more anyway, will look to get some more as well just for sake of it so i can bash for longer, so have to bear that in mind when esc shopping, or should i opt for a bigger motor/esc combo, just trying to hold on too the funds for a bit longer lol. any ideas on a decent budget servo for it as no idea what to get as want something faster than stock. cheers
Oh How Original
2s will be no good at all, so yeah it runs both at the same time Servos can be had for little money, I just bought one to try, never used one before but it comes recommended so thought I'd give it a go. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/321583502346?_trksid=p2060353.m2749.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT
Coopers87
so if i stick with the nano tech batteries what size would you recommend going for if i use a 150A esc, thinking of the trackstar gen2 150a, looks a good bargain might just pick one up too try as its nice and cheap. cheers
Oh How Original
What size what? If you mean ESC, then for 4s running, I used to use a HobbyWing WP SC8, it's 120a but for a buggy running 4s they work fine. In fact I believe one of the old Hong Nor brushless buggies came with an 80a ESC. In my opinion that's too low, but my old 120 went really well. Coopers87
Meant how many cells, maybe upgrade to bigger battery box for bigger better cell batteries is what I meant
Oh How Original
Well 2x 2s is 4 cells. A 6.6 will be fine, that should easily give you 25 minutes run time. I used to get 20 minutes from my truggy with a 5,000. It will of course depend on how you drive, but you should get enough run time from a pair of 6.6s wired into 4s. Coopers87
So I'm looking at the track star 150a gen2 esc, I presume I'm going to have to make up some kind of link wire too run both together, have I got that right, haven't run like this before so it's all new once again lol
stretch
Yep you want to wire in series. Hobby king do ready made ones for certain connectors. The trackstar esc's are known to be hit and miss.
Coopers87
Right ok, so do you have any other servo suggestions this application ?

stretch
I would but I don't know what connectors you'll be using so bit hard really.
Coopers87
Will be using deans connectors, as that's what are on the batteries so going to leave them on
stretch
So you know your connector is deans and that the series connectors are available at hobbyking lol. http://www.hobbyking.co.uk/hobbyking/store/__62923__T_Plug_Harness_for_2_Packs_in_Series_2pcs_bag.html
Coopers87
So in simpleton terms just put a plug on the esc and connect both batteries to one of these, what esc would you go with then if the track star one is a bit iffy, be running max of 4s. cheers
stretch
Yes there us also a wired version available online which can be found via Google. Sc8 as previously mentioned.
