EpicLURcher
HiIm looking to get back into buggies after running them a little last yearThinking of doing 2 wd. Probably using an 8.5 turn?Anyway, whats a good chasis for astro when its dry-damp-wet. Ive heard some people nave 3 buggies for each condition! Im looking for a good all rounder Thanks. Ps racing at surrey and hants rcc
Joshyjol
Maybe go down on a race day and see what is the most popular chassis and have a chat with some of the racers there. But that aside there are some lovely kits out at the moment, the Schuey KF, Rango 210v2, B5M, RB6, Losi 22.2 All of which Im sure you could get to work in all weathers! .AJ.
The Schumacher KF is the hot car at Shrccc at the mo
The Dark Knight
I'm really tempted to try a 3Racing Cactus myself.
Si Coe
The KF is great is the grip is high, but not so hot when it rains so its not an all rounder. Best all-rounder has to be the RB6, but then its also rather pricy too. Still cheaper than a KF and and SV2 for when it rains though! .AJ.
The KF won the winter series at SHRCCC, so can't be all bad in the wet, but the Astro has a super short pile and there is still a lot of grip in the wet/slick. As mentioned before pop along and have a chat with a few of regulars.

The Dark Knight
Cool, I'm just going 13.5 blinky to start with which I've been told is fine. Some people like servo savers, some don't. I run a servo saver in all my cars, so it'd be a yes vote from me I've bought the Schumacher impact servo saver for my buggy, part number #U4328
EpicLURcher
Do you know if that saver will fit the losi? I tried an xray one and it is too big, it scrapes on the chassis. Any other ideas? Also gearing wise, im running an 8.5, any ideas what kind of gearing ill need for surrey?
The Dark Knight
Not sure if it will fit the losi, I'll measure it so you can compare it to the xray one. If you look on MB Models, part number KP114 should fit or if you'd prefer a black one, part number U3940. Not sure about gearing for offroad myself yet but I'll be starting with 83t spur & 24t pinion which will give me a fdr of 8.
