Yoshimoto
THE POWER OF THE FORUM Clicked on your profile and read your previous posts-youll soon get the hang of it. Theres some very clever people on here who love nothing more than helping others with their models but you have to ask specific questions with plenty of relevant detail and youll be surprised at what others can come up with As for your engine swap you should find something for it to fit into,as long as the engine mounts are pretty standard youll be fine. Cheers Yoshi
Dannymitchell506
Hahaha oh right , I don't have a clue about any nitro stuff I've only just started so I've been looking for a cheap rolling chassis as my one the gear linkage broke and where it's so old they don't sell parts anymore
Yoshimoto
Theres a very good chance that you will find something to fit-many RC car manufacturers share designs with each other so you might find the exact part to fix it or be able to make something fit with out too much hassle. Post up some decent photo's and we might be able to tell you what else should do it. Yoshi
Dannymitchell506
I had some man look at it and he tried finding me the part but he said he couldn't find it anywhere
Yoshimoto
Well just out of curiosity i searched carson p190 and i can tell you that i have just sold a massive bundle of the exact same car for pennies. Its the same as a GV panther/predator etc. They are sold under many names all over the world. Which part exactly do you need? Yoshi
Dannymitchell506
Well it's a little metal thing on the diff that grips onto the clutch to drive it but it snapped so now it doesn't grip so the car doesn't move , bit of a bad explanation haha
Yoshimoto
Show me a picture of the part and ill find u one...clutch is only connected to diffs via bell housed pinion-spur gear-drive cups-drive-shafts-crown gear-crown wheel in that order. Dannymitchell506
I'll post a picture tomorrow mate , the man who had a look at my car before said it was the centre diff had broke but not sure if that's right or not
Yoshimoto
Well they usually dont have a center diff as such but a 2 speed box or single speed gear.Does it have a 2 speed box?
Dannymitchell506
Yeah it's a 2 speed mate
Yoshimoto
http://www.produktinfo.conrad.com/datenblaetter/225000-249999/236580-el-01-ml-GP_4WD_CHASSIS_P190_RTR_de_en.pdf Theres a link to a manual-which part is it...is it part of the 2 speed internals?
Yoshimoto
Well theres not much that can go wrong inside them usually a spring and pawl assembly, the pawl is the small part that open out when spinning to grab the gears-usually
Dannymitchell506
Yeah that's it the pawl it's broke so when it spins it's not grabbing anything
Yoshimoto
http://www.modelengines.com.au/retail_catalogue_27/TM059_item.html Thats the whole clutch but if its just the pawl they are a lot cheaper.
Dannymitchell506
The bit that's broke is the metal bit that spins round and grips on the pawl
Yoshimoto
You will find the part if you want it.But you will have to search-Reely cars,GV models, and theres a few others-good luck Yoshi
