Pearce
The yellows you sold me are perfect, and have not worn at all after a heavy night at Caldicot on Friday :) Glad your happy How did you find them? I reckon I'll get another 2 race days and the national ..... At a push they will last untill end of season, may be slicks thou Don't look to worn in pic , but truely they have taken a kicking all ready lol
c0sie
I killed my old set of whites in 2 nationals. The yellows were great, a little lacking on initial turn-in on the slippy sections but perfectly fine on the carpet. Cant understand why I went to whites in the first place, they might be gripper on the slippy sections but I doubt think there is a huge difference on the carpet, plus the whites are really wearing at the moment! c0sie
This is the forum I started out on back on in 2005 lol, where I learnt a lot of what made me the way I am from an RC point of view I was also quite suprised that there are still people in the racing world who still dont know that the micro section exists and that we race nationals! lol
Pearce
Right then Electrics out today , Ready to collect my new stuff tommor to install Started to neaten it up As you can see I've moved the esc out and replaced with the rx Also I have moved the pt from on top of the servo to the chassis under the steering assembly . Hope this will stay secure there As I wanted my nice inolab servo on display tart i know Right today I bought my son a car on a whim It popped up in my eBay suggested items A FTx fury , I know not the best by far but listen ....... Comes with a complete roller Minus electrics , A completed car in bits Spare wheels , Standard radio gear And loads of bnip spares And the car itself with brushless moto and dead speedo Not bad for 50 quid plus p+p I thought ? Should keep him Going ?? He's only just gone 4 years old.... He actually drives a 1/8 Losi 8 2.0 But currently does not have a car for indoor club. . So my theory Is it's cheap , 1/16 scale and loads of spares to keep him going ? Win win Fingers crossed tommor night I will get some pics up of electrics installed in the m8

This way he won't be left out and I'll still have a car full of spares. I must say I think it was a super deal Just waiting on it now

mydoddy69
Nice there's a guy on you tube using a 35a eZrun ESC and that looks pretty quick is there a rule that says you cant use the 35a one or was it that you thought the 25a one was better just out of interest
c0sie
Make sure you vent the shell Dan to allow air to flow over the ESC heat sink. Shouldnt have any thermalling issues then

Pearce
Run the car yest Wow system is ace overstock , more drivable, less punch Far smoother and bang!!! Loadsa power on the straights It did run far far hotter but didnt thermal or die lol Slow and steady power was key to motor temps . On practice and messing around , banging throttle on and off peaked temps I managed to increase my average Lap to One bad thou:( As it was minus temps and absolute freezing my fingers and thumbs wernt the best , also very hung over! Lol I managed to crack 2 wheels , and loadsa hair Line splits !! Could it be the super cold condition and impact ? Absolute gutted as I only glued a new set of White rally blocks and inserts in them last week What a waste ! I've glued them and repaired them, no doubt I will never use them now as will doubt them ..... Just emergency Back to my yellows now , but in fairness there awsome , so will carry on with these now I also highered the front a tad and changed rear shock position to out and out , it's amazing his much this tamed my rear end Ohhhh and I split my new rear wing to ! Shooking Edited January 30, 2012 by Pearce

Pearce
looks good pearce! gonna be racing soon myself at taplow rc and wycombe any tips on setup ? totally stock at the moment except lipos You need to do shock oils, a lot of people bird the piston out to 1.2 or 1.5 as there tiny Even with my oils , 30/20 it's still heavier than some of my Mates running 40/30 Grease or diff oil in front diff helps a treat 1000000k will do nicely Lexan wing is a must I'm all for rally blocks , regardless surface Whites on cold day ,yellows on a norm day ,,,, dont ask lol Front hinge pin spares are handy , or like mine. Ally A good servo, even thou stock is cool till you out grow it Other than that suspension mounts will depend on track and tyre set up You wanna lower it on the spring adjusters So the drive shaft is level when settled not angled Hope this helps See what guys are doing at your track , theyl help you im sure It's a tail happy car with over steer so a gentle throttle is key
