how do i remove a piston/sleeve

my trx 3.3 has blew up,looking inside the engine the piston seems to be in good condition,but the sleeve only comes out half way,any ideas as how i can get it out

Is it a ringed engine? If you twist the liner with a ringed engine, the ring can pop out in to one of the ports, effectively locking the liner in place. Can you rotate the crank still?

it has seemed to have gone half way and jammed,and no the rod has snapped down the bottom so its no longer connected

i cant do that cable tie trick because the rod has snapped,any other ideas?

iv always used a pair of grabby things lol ....cant think of the name for them . but put a teatowel on the sleve.... and twist n pull

heat the engine up, stick a cable tie in the exhaust port, and then turn the flywheel. the sleeve then just lifts out

the con-rod has snapped tho

Just use a pair of pliers but make sure u cover the sleeve try not to scratch or dent it or it will loose compression
