  1. Did you get this sorted? im mid way building a Mercedes Actros and noticed there are brackets on one of the parts trees in the kit, I’m not sure if you’d have the same part or not, having said that I didn’t want to use them and have ordered a double servo mount from KK truck store, maybe worth a look
  2. Hi guys we Have just ordered a tt02d chassis kit for my lad, first drifter build, Probably have a few questions coming up ha ha are there any must do tips worth doing during the build?? how is the stock motor that comes with it, is it ok? cheers
  3. Mmm, I quite like that unimog body, are they strong and hold up well? regardless I still need another rig soon I did watch a scale builders guild video on the buffalo too, looks good, may look into that one a bit more, I also didn’t realise the scx10iii’s come with high/low speed as well as DIG transmission until earlier jack, that’s not all of our cars, just the crawlers, 6 kids and a wife that likes crawlers = lots of cars lol, she wants a trx6 next for herself, although she has 0 interest in the bashers I also am going to buy a 1/5 petrol in the summer, used to love my losi 5t a few years back
  4. Ah yep not looked at gmade yet, also I will say, out of the cars we have, the Scx10ii’s are my least favourite, BUT having said that I really liked the look of the unimog and I think if they realease it with the portal axles one will be coming my way ha ha
  5. Hi guys not really been on here a great deal since lock down 1, when I was always on ha ha anyway, so I could do with another car but I don’t know weather to get another of which we already have or something different? we already have trx4 defender trx4 bronco trx4 sport element rc ( builders kit) scx10ii honcho scx10ii (builders kit) Ftx outback out of the ones we already have I’d probably go with another element, I really like how smooth they are to use, maybe even the gate keeper. what would you buy and why? my only real preference/want is that I kinda like to be able to get spares fairly easily and in the UK.
  6. The dc1 looks really well built, the 2 things that jump out to me are, the chassis rail look really solid, I bet there’s no flex in them and I’m surprised there’s no UJ joint on the shaft between the gearbox and transfer, maybe normal on that set up type but I’ve not looked at them before how are you finding it compared to the outback?
  7. I would look into changing to lipo before changing motors mate, it will be much better but when you do change your motor have a look at red-winches and get ya self hobby Holmes motor 👍
  8. This build is looking really good, was just looking at the pictures, as the frame is solid mounted to the chassis how about making the shock mounts part of the cage with more pipe? then do away with the original ones, just an idea that popped in me head while looking, probably look good.
  9. Some interesting reading here guys, especially as I’ve been looking at motors the last couple weeks, im currently building a trx4 that I got a trail master sport 550 for, also got a CrawlMaster ordered but it’s on backorder for my element my son has/had 😂 a goolRC 35t motor in his scx10ii, that motor only lasted 1 run before it burnt out looking forward to see what the Holmes motors are like.
  10. Looking good 👍 I built one of these for my 4yr old to learn on, they aren’t all that bad really, I have done a few little changes, I put scx10ii shock hoops on and swapped the c hubs side to side so I could fit a Panhard rod. and I’ve got some axial shocks to go on it too BUT ha ha my lad has broken both front cvd’s within the space of about 2 weeks, that could be down to him going over everything flat out and crashing a lot. ive got my eye on some different axles foR it now though. Be interesting to see what you think OH I trimmed away the receiver box too, and fitted a different battery tray across the chassis instead of going front to rear
  11. Well I finally had a little test in the garden today for 5 minutes with the element. its running a HW1080 esc and a cheap goolRC 35t motor, I’m really impressed with how smooth the car is, the shocks feel great (shame about the play in the pivot balls🙄) looking forward to seeing what it’s like compared to my sons scx10ii, we’ve got constant banter at the moment about who’s will be best ha ha although it will not be used properly for a while because I have no body or bumpers yet 😒
  12. Thanks guys yeah I know nothing about the Traxxas either my crawler just has a cheap gool rc 35t motor in going to order a trailmaster sport 27t 550 edit= we do more walking/driving with them, up the odd bank, over the tree roots and whatever rock or obstacle along the way rather than all out crawling
  13. Hey guys, so my wife taken a like to the crawlers that much that she’s picked and ordered a trx4 sport kit, luckily I get to build and pick what goes in it 😊 and she pays, can’t grumble at that its going to have the HW1080 esc, not sure on the servo yet, maybe a savox waterproof one but really my question is to the motor, I wanted to use a Holmes hobby motor but there’s loads of different ones? im looking at the sealed one, in the £20-£25 range but 540, 550, trail master, crawl master, 27t 35t 🤷🏼‍♂️ I don’t know ha ha i know the 5 slot is meant to be smoother, but not sure on the other bits Thanks guys 👍
