About half a turn back, suck it and see and tweak from the there. Make sure it's set right to give the diffs half a chance......

If you are going for both, halfway would be fine.. It won't break your gears, and won't slip so you can't go anywhere!

Start at 1 turn out for the first set of batteries to break it in and then it all depends on your preference. As Big Turbo says aim to have a "squeal" from the clutch for 2 to 3 car lengths on a good traction surface when nailing the throttle from standstill as a starting point. After that your choice, you can loosen it if you want to keep the front wheels on the ground. Having it too loose won't do any real damage other than wear the clutch out faster. Too tight is likely to put excessive load on the diffs so too loose is preferable. However, depending on your ESC there are plenty of options for adjusting the amount of power applied from start by programming. Best practice is probably to leave it setup with the 2 to 3 car lengths squeal and use the ESC to control power output.
