  1. i just went back to plug them in and check voltage on my cells. it pops up with an error message saying 'over voltage' and wont do anything. any ideas?
  2. Got my Hobby king eco six charger last week, and my Turnigy 5200mah 2s lipos. Soldered my deans to them today and got them on charge, after 20 or so minutes i noticed the one had dropped from charging at 5.0amps to 0.0amps and displayed a voltage of 8.4v (7.4v battery) unplugged that and put my other one on charge, charged at 0.1amps instead of 5.0 amps like i put into the charger and once again displayed voltage of 8.4. whilst it charged, i left my mom looking over the charger/battery whilst doing the ironing so i could get to my granddads to check voltage was the same on his voltage meter. so happens it was and he says that battery is fully charged (this is the first one i did) i get back, and my mom had had to un-plug the battery and charger, as it started to beep and displayed the error message 'Break Down' The manual says i should seek profesional help, i turned it on again for a few more minutes and it seemed ok. Just wondered what it could be? I find it strange that it didnt beep to tell me the batteries were done, but it only charged at 5.0 amps. It was in balance mode, but i tried it in fast charge mode briefly and it was the same. to complicate things worse i havent got access to the truck until wednesday. can anyone help shed some light on the situation? cheers
  3. blimey i forgot to update here sorry well on my way into ex-army landy version 2, just modding it to make it work better and look more scale. it wont look overly different, apart from a large safety feature that you'll probably pick up on, but it should perform alot better. chassis looks clean, i adjusted the links to make the wheelbase fit better. suspension is nice and soft. tyres are too clean. lots of space in the back there for an interior. will be a full interior, dropped style bed space and the transmission should mostly be under the seats so it gives optimal room for a driver and scale goodies. showing the general gist of things. to prove i wasnt lying about the roll cage still got to mount it but it looks quite good i think for a first time working with tube. oh and its got a winch for help in the rough stuff
  4. Dont come on here alot but whenever i do Mr T seemed a great guy willing to help anyone, he'll be sadly missed. RIP.
  5. bahaha, thanks yeah sure mate, its using the electrics from a traxxas slash (the fully waterproofed ones) and an axial 55t motor. ill try to get those chassis pics for you soon
  6. here are pictures of my latest build. last year i posted pictures of my scx10 lr3... i tried to top that build this time any q's ill be happy to answer
  7. ive just gone out without the failsafe... something i didnt really want to do but i was in my garden so it was safer. the problem is still there, im looking at the servo now. its REALLY jittery- wont hold position for long at all. its sorta stopped its tricks of holding the throttle open and remaining at idle now, but if i hold the throttle down, it accelerates abit, jitters, bogs and shuts down. ill get a new servo and try that, thanks for all the help guys really apreciate it edit- the wierd thing is... the servo acts fine when the engine isnt running. ill go clean my carb out etc and see what happens.
  8. ok, it is wierd. if its not fixxed tomorw ill get a vid.
  9. the tune was fine, and i cant see the failsafe causing the problem, since the throttle is open but the engie is idling? ill try it tomorow and report back
  10. right, ive had this problem a few weeks and its doing my nut in. basicaly, itll scoot around at low revs fine- but its a hpi savage, it wants to tear the ground up. when ever i give it full throttle- the engine goes for around a second, then cuts back to idle- with the throttle still wide open. if i leave the throttle open, after a short while it cuts the engine completely. its also started to jamn open, and drive on its own, when i have a waterproof failsafe fitted. strange, no? any ideas whats causing all this?
  11. went to the lhs today, and as is usually the case i came home with more than i bargained for. very pleased, ive only had pico-z's before and i got fed up with dodgy controllers, this is using spektrum 2.4ghz radio gear, dont think we'll have problems with this one. it came with 2 lipo flight batteries, a charger capable of chargin 4 batteries in 10 minutes, controller batteries, and a few spare parts to get us sorted. got to learn to fly it now
  12. just did this as a tester, ill take it to a park at some point to let it loose
  13. ive been watching the vids, i got it out yesterday and it appeared to be fine- after tonights troubles ive set the hsn needle to factory settings and im going to tune it over the weekend properly, hopefully going to find a car park or industrial estate i can open it up on. i only sent it to the lhs because i wanted it set up so i only had to make small adjustments- kinda wish i hadnt now, but we live and learn
  14. i got it going last night- i didnt do anything, and it ran like normal, if not better :S went to drive today... it fires, the engine will tick over and the wheels will turn, although not very fast, when its off the ground. on the ground tho, it wont move- too much throttle and the engine goes. whats wrong now ?
