  1. Thing is with brushless they're useless on 6 cell NiMH... With the cogging etc. It's for a rally car and a CC-01 (whatever I end up picking I'll get two, and yes I have a 19 turn motor in a CC-01) What about the Traxxas XL-5 ESC? Do they go cheaply? Oh forgot to add I'm hoping to get in the
  2. Hey guys, looking for an ESC that can handle a 15 turn motor but that gives instant power, like 100% throttle when you ask for it. I was using a Tamiya TEU-101bk but it just gave up the ghost. Thanks
  3. I'm looking into a Mamba Monster Max brushless system anyway so I might aswell upgrade to Lipo at the same time...
  4. Nope, I don't have any mates into RC locally, and yes I am running the stock twin titans
  5. And as I said before my charger is at a fixed rate(5 amp), nothing is binding(been through it), it runs stock gearing and (I may have forgotten this) I was driving on flat tarmac.
  6. I see. So if I get a 2c LVC will I need two of them?
  7. I'm confused... So, the LVC fits between the ESC and the RX... which means I'll need one for every RC I own... Whats this about 2s and 4s? I plan on running 4s as 2s wouldn't have enough power surely...
  8. Turnigy LiPo's and then a charger from eBay (seen a good one that my mate got, he said it was good so..) then I'll need low voltage cut off for my ESC.. Will I need a balancer too? And a Q about the low voltage cutoff... does it connect to the battery or the ESC? So I can use it on all my models? If so I might be selling all my batts and chargers to fund a LiPo swap.
  9. So the only answer is LiPo then?
  10. They are Orion RocketPack 5100's: http://www.modelsport.co.uk/orion-rocket-pack-5100-stick-pack/rc-car-products/30370 But with Traxxas connectors
  11. Mine didn't come with any batteries....
  12. Nothing is binding It rolls really smooth, and they are 5100 packs. My charger whacks out 5 amp whether they like it or not because it doesn't have a variable output.
  13. It's all stock gearing though..
  14. Hey guys, just a quick question for you E-Revo users... I have a brushed version (got one of the first ones) that runs on twin 6 cell packs. Every time I take it out, these batts get SUPER hot... even with the body off... but today, I took it out and one of the batts got so hot it melted the heat shrink and the plastic cup at the bottom of the pack. But the motors were normal temp and as usual the ESC stayed cool. So how do you guys keep your batts cool?
  15. Will any 17mm hex work on an E-Revo? Because I'd rather get a set of
  16. Thanks guys , I'll just go the slayer with E convertion route then
  17. Didn't know where to put this, but I need someone to do me a big favour. If you own a Traxxas E-Revo and a Traxxas Slayer, could you put the Slayer Arms onto the E-Revo and see if the wheels still fit into the wheelarches. Please? Thanks =] I ask this because I want a shourtcourse truck, but I want a 4x4 one, and I really like the Revo/Slayer style suspention, but I can't stand nitro. So if I get an E-Revo, put slayer arms and stuff on it, then I can use the spare E-Revo bits for my E-Revo If not then I'll just have to buy a secondhand Slayer, and an electric convertion...
  18. Thats abit farther than I thought it was.. 10 miles from me... 30 min drive.
  19. Well I'm sorry you can't see the rest of the pics.. apparently theres a FLARGIN photo limit
  20. Epic video, loved every second. Where abouts in Leeds was that? It looks familiar, and I might go up there with my E-Revo
  21. Really can't be bothered with youtube's audio swap, so theres no music to these videos. Enjoy
  22. Not very good.. but the snow was too thick to run it.. and I don't have any footage of running my clod in the snow either since I busted the rear steer..
