  1. Hi there, What can I expect from getting a clutch bell with a greater number of teeth on? What have you done/got? I've heard its a better option than a 2 speed conversion. Would it be worth getting a vented one at the same time? Cheers.
  2. If you get the fatter shox you will need the longer mounts/bolts at the top so that they clear everything.
  3. 20 optimix and mcoy mc9. I've spent time and money trying to find a mix a fuel vs glow plugs. Hot plugs & 16% fuels. Cold plugs 25% fuels. And had low performance and on the other end of the scale poor tuneability over heating after extended use and many burnt out glow plugs. This weekend I spent all Sat afternoon thrshing around some dirt tracks and BMX jumps on the above without any probs what so ever. I think hyper engines have a tendance to be fussy on fuel type. You wouldn't put Tesco petrol in a Subaru WRX would you! Fuel has a shelf life as well any old stuff in the shed is only good enough for cleaning your air filter! If you're looking for more speed, gear up the clutch bell and get a heavy duty clutch. Quality fuel and glow plugs = Fun times! Hope this helps. Njoy!
  4. also have a look at the new HPI Monster King 1/12 truck that engine is on it side.
  5. Hi chaps, There is fuel leaking from around the pull start I have previously removed it cleaned the surfaces and put it back on, but with no luck. What ever the fault is I now find it difficult to prime the fuel system after an empty tank as well as setting the low speed idle and off idle. Any ideas? Brad
  6. Didn't know there was one? Most of these things are MOSFET any way and I'd of thought it took care of it self? (some thing new every day) I'll have to read through the manual before making an ass of my self! Cheers
  7. Hi all, Bought my son a WheelyKing for Xmas we've been out using it every spare minute at the weekends, until this weekend when it appears to have developed an anoying fault; It will jerk forwards a few times when the trigger/throttle is pulled and then it may not go at all. Same some times in reverse. And when it does go it can be slow or at full pelt. I changed the batterys in the transmitter to be on the safe side, and managed to recreate the fault in the kitchen this evening. I'vce checked for pinched wires n stuff, the boy knows no to run it through pudles so I've ruled out water ingress. The battery pack is decent enough and fully charged. So I'm stumped. Can any one shed any light on it? Does it sound familiar? I would have said it was the speed controler (which is a reverse one) as the light was flashing like mad? Please help. Regards.
  8. Ne one got ne bright ideas how to remove in on piece tyres from wheels that are well and truly glued on? Was going so soak-em in boiling water? 2 wheels from a set are cracked through after (ahem) a spill! Don't want to bin em cos they've got good tyres on em? Ne hints and tips would be useful. Cheers.
  9. Ok I've looked through some of the past threads and there are scores of people crying out for a Liverpool bash. I know its a bit short notice but its getting colder every day now. The weather this Saturday morning will be, shall we say, not wet! And will be one of the last weekends this year before X-mas I will be able to get down there. And I'm crying out to line up against another Nitro head! For fun of course. I say mornings as its when there is the least traffic on the through road, but you can use the grass areas all day there is so much space! I've been going to the Otterspool Promenade over the (ahem) summer months with my son (4yrs) and screaming the nuts of my Hyper7 with no issues what so ever. The reason I haven't used the old garden festival site is that its private land, they have security guards there, you can't park up in there and should ne thing happen no one will hear you scream! Besides you can park up at the Prom (as its affectionaly know) and race out the back of your car. if the link works from Multimap have a look www.multimap.com/s/gNO7xzDU Its easy to get to from all directions; Off the M62 left on to Queens Drive (A5058) and follow signs for Sefton Park and then Otterspool. From Runcorn, Widnes, Warrington ways down the Ford road past the retail park for a few miles (A561) past the big school on the left next left at the main lights on Jericho lane and left at the bottom. From the city centre from the tunnel straight down the Dock road, right on to Sefton Street (A5036) by the Warf, past all car show rooms keep going past the old festival site 1 mile your there. Bring a flask! NB if its too short notice may be next Saturday aswell if the weathers permitts Im there this Saturday ne way! Regards Brad
  10. Hi there, Don't know about meetings but I regularly use my Hyper7 down at the Otterpool Promenade on the Liverpool Water front. There is pleanty of open grass land and long tarmaced areas. I have seen other people with Nitros there. I've never had any hasstle from the authorities and my local police station advised it! And its always a crowd pleaser! I spoke with one guy and he said there is a dedicated hardcore following in the Southport Ainsdale area who use the sandunes there, and there are clips on youtube of them aswell. If its not raining and Saturday morning and my spares come in the post before then I will be there as usual. Just half way along the main access road by the play area. Would be interested if there is any reading this if any one has taken advantage of Delamere Forest at all or is it a nono 'cos its private land? Cheers Brad
  11. Hi there, Ne idea what after market shells would fit a Hyper 7? I like the team associated Rc8 and the Pro Line crowd pleaser. What have you?
  12. Hi there, I thought the new pull start I fitted last week had gone again until it was slack when I was taking it off and it recoiled it self. I have since put a drop of normal 3 in 1 oil in the mech to free it up. Was I wrong in doing that? Or should have bought another one? Has ne one else done anything similar? Cheers
  13. I agree get new servo, I've put a pair of tower pros 995's in my H7, now the brakes sometimes flip the car over! I tried all manner of adjustments with the linkage but the old servo just wouldn't cut it. Also a little tip you can spin the top linkage servo horn conector round 180 dgs. and this makes the linkage pull in straight line almost on the front. Stopping is much better.
