  1. Getting impatient lol, i had to order from different places for the parts to make a long wheelbase buggy/truggy and 2 out of three shops delivered waiting on one now, would be thr chassis as well lol. Si
  2. Banggood do some 2845 4 poles cheap, 3 kv to choose from. http://m.banggood.com/112-14-2845-Senseless-Brushless-548036002800KV-Motor-p-987419.html Si
  3. You won't over heat, just gear it right and stick some vent holes in the shell if you want to. I run 6800kv cm26 geared on 12t pinion stock spur and 60a esc, i put holes in the front screen just to ensure of some air flow, it is fast a little too fast the motor is not smooth power like the leopard 4 poles it just gets going no in-between lol spins up very easily fun to drive actually Si
  4. The Quickrun is quite small i think, i use an older style that i take the fan off, it doesn't over heat and just fits under the shell. Si
  5. The 0808 are 20mm cans and although they might have been put in the mini 8 i wouldn't get one they are small compared to stock 24mm motor, the only castle i would put in isn't made any more but i have it in mine the 26mm cm26, also the 0808 is far too small for the emb that has a 28mm stock motor that is a great motor also, just my opinion on this but 20mm can although it has been used in the m8 is too small. Si
  6. Yes the hobbywing 60a esc is good, There's links to a motor and 2.3mm pinions for the leopard motor the pinions won't fit on stock motor, if you do go for this high kv motor i would strat with 12t pinion maybe go to 14t if there are no issues. I run these leopard motors in my gtb, if the 2838, 5200kv version fits which they have then that is a cracker the pinions are 3.2mm for that, i run that in my emb and have one to go in my mini 8 i just haven't got around to seeing if it fits straight in without mods i also have the exotec chassis for it but haven't got my arse in gear to fit that either lol The pinions i linked to you won't find cheaper anywhere else bit restricted though if you want to go higher than 16t. http://www.smartteknik.se/uk/brushless-motors/motor-lbp2435-6600kv-4-polig.html http://www.aircraft-world.com/en/p1071673-hp-pin05 Si
  7. I would change the pinion to stop over heating yes, the stock esc and motor are ok but can overheat quite easily, putting some vent holes will help a little also. Si
  8. He is saying he will film and take pictures of the gtb's at his club racing. Si
  9. Not too sure. I have both but yet to swap over the chassis, when i get chance i wiil check it out. Si
  10. I have been looking at the Quickrun 60amp esc, quite a few use those in their gtb's, it can run sensored or sensorless and has quite a small foot print so should fit pretty well. Si
  11. Yes the body of a few different 1/10 buggy have been mentioned, trimmed to fit i asked this guy and this shell is from an xray xb4 , they are becoming popular it seems and according to the ones running them creates a better handling buggy, i am waiting on a long chassis, centre dog bone and top plate as i have everything else in my spares box to create this and a spare 4 pole leopard to stick in it. Si
  12. Found this on sun bens wall on facebook, looks very good and have seen a few doing this now more so abroad with great results, long chassis buggy conversion. Si
  13. Interesting, but might be better to go with the tenshock, but worth a look i guess, i used to be abit addicted to looking for motors your gonna set me off again lol. Si
  14. Hi Eugen, what other motors are the guys using who you race against, would you say the sensored leopard out performs them completely or are they pretty close on performance, are you racing just gtb's. Si
  15. I think it would need some more popularity on the race circuit and maybe get stocked by somewhere like thumbs as they did with the other leopards to bring the price down and also do a combo with esc, interestingly i can't recall the motor that i have on leopards web site either for some reason. Si
  16. Quick google found it http://www.smartteknik.se/uk/brushless-motors/motor-lbps2838-45005600kv-4-pole-380-size.html Si
  17. I found a link http://www.smartteknik.se/uk/brushless-motors/motor-lbps2838-45005600kv-4-pole-380-size.html Si
  18. Long straight would be great trying out 18t or in my case 19t pinion, theres someone on the gtb thread using a leopard sensored motor in his gtb mightbe worth asking them about availability of it and where they got it, i think they're from Germany
  19. If the tenshock is as good as the leopard it will definitely be faster, i have gone side by side with my emb with leopard and my sons with stock motor with same gearing running 19t pinion, the leopard out performs stock. The tenshock shouldn't be too dissimilar to the leopard, maybe better. Si
  20. I get similar run times on 2200 lipos or longer, i used to run 1300 on my mini 8 but changed all my minis to 2200's. Si
  21. I would go for the 5150kv, that should be good, you can change pinions to get it how you want but i would try 19t if i where getting that and go from there. Waiting for the truggy review Deafty ;), i have plenty if spares in my tool box just need longer chassis and i could easily build another. Si
  22. Have you asked on oople, may be a good place to ask Si
  23. I really like the leopard motors, have them in all but 1 on my mini's, the 2838 5200kv in my emb is brilliant, very quick with 19t pinion over stock but may need lower t for racing unless its got long straights. Si
  24. Do you need to do any modding to the body at all Si
  25. Looking on lc's Facebook page some are turning their sct or long chassis version into a buggy, they look pretty good, i checked on one and they are using a b44 shell heated up to narrow it abit to get a better fit. Si
