  1. I would ask at the club if anyone has any second hand gear for sale, if you have to buy new full racing setup it will not be cheap, unless you want something new and cheap, then get something like this that could get you started and could be upgraded at your pace. www.kyoshoeurope.com/ultima-rb6-6-1-10-2wd-readyset-kt231.html sells for less than £250.00
  2. Hi if you let me know your e-mail address i can send you the info. Can always mail me first [email protected]

  3. I have a mini-z sports brand new with Blue Mclaren Body without box, it was returned as the rear spoiler is broken.
  4. Go with a 10.5 motor, it will give you what you looking for.
  5. Fairlop Colchester ARC Ipswich few of top of my head!
  6. I cant see how you will get Warranty on this. Take it as a lesson learnt, When you are looking to go fast with big pinions etc you will create stress and overheating, you need to check motor esc temps a lot with high power models, you have to know that Grass causes drag especially when its long and level or above the chassis. Most guys i know looking to go fast spend a lot of money replacing burnt out motors and ESC and lipos, so be prepared for that if you looking to push the limits! and cheap Electrics never hold up to the high power drain you looking for.
  7. Thats ESC is really not ideal for racing, look to get a sensored ESC with min of 120 amps, that way you can run any motor you want from 5.5 or less, depending on the track a 7.5 motor is a good choice in 2wd. this is good esc http://www.kyoshoeurope.com/variateur-reds-tx-120a-1-10-team-edition.html and motor http://www.kyoshoeurope.com/moteur-brushless-reds-vx-540-7-5t-2-poles-sensored-4x4-4x2.html all the big shops can get Reds stuff as used by Elliott Boots and few other top racers.
  8. Thats a great car on the track or just for bashing. it fits standard 10th Wheels so plenty of choice to find what suits the surface you running. For the shocks when its cold we use about 30 in back and 30 or 35 in front , any make is good to use. The more expensive are more accurate, you will find cheap oil is never the same viscosity as the label, but if you not fine tuning for racing it does not really matter!
  9. Kyosho Axxe is the one we reccomend for first RC car, very strong and good performance.
  10. Its a very good car! performs well and is fast for a starter car
  11. The speeds are almost as fast as the nitro boys!
  12. This is using latest 2 speed box, the previous one was geared to high from the low gear and did fail too easily. The GT platform has been around for years from Kyosho originally it was the much loved landmax which was based on the Burns Buggy, now the GT is based on the Kyosho Inferno Buggy, The GT2 is same but using The Truggy chassis to make it more in proportion and suits the scale of the bodies better. The new Pro GT3 Kit is based on the Kyosho MP9 .
  13. if you want to keep it retro then:- http://uk.kyoshoeurope.com/catalogsearch/result/?q=k.370 or http://uk.kyoshoeurope.com/catalogsearch/result/?q=ori6608
  14. Guys at Flying wings are good worth checking them out, had some issues with those hobbywing models. have a look at any high wing model like these :- https://www.sussex-model-centre.co.uk/aircraft/trainers/artf/wp-v-venture-elektrosegelflugmodell Props at back as mentioned already is a good idea. I started with similar to these and they was great
  15. Just to clarify, the STR Truggy was a kit, fully made in Japan with high quailty diffs and components. The ST is a readyset made in Japan, not the same quality at all. I do recall some of the readysets coming with only 2 gears.
  16. No need for a license flying fun racing drones, unless you are using commercially or flying one of the much bigger ones just fly as you like.
  17. Thats the Pro model, with better 4 gears diff, enjoy it mate. i used to race these at Nationals and was always amazed at what these things did on the track
  18. The Nice thing is with the longer chassis than other GT models the shells are much more realistic than the Squat ones based on the old buggy chassis.
  19. The Orion charger is very nice, touch screen works fine. good back up in UK if you have a problem, they swapped my old charger when it failed previous.
  20. The bashing side is in decline but racing is as busy as ever over many classes. Its not about cost, kids have more stuff today then ever! the causes are simple and obvious to the decline: 1. Kids want video games and online play. 2. Shops have gone, lack of support and window sales. 3. Crap quality models have been most first timers model, they get dissapointed and give up before they start. I think kids years ago aspired to be pilots, racers or whatever and the only way to get attachement was with actual models or toys, slot racing hot wheels meccano etc. But now they can just get an app get there fix then move on to next craze within hours.
  21. ZX5 parts are still about , If in good condition you will be very happy with the performance.
