  1. anymore responses to this ? whilst running in it seemed to like #8's but now im at more of a proper tune it keeps going through them, i changed to an A5 recently but it killed that too, i may be ever so slightly too lean so ive just richened it but not tried it since ive adjusted it, but im looking for more input on plug choice .28 engine, using 25% Gen 2

  4. how do i check that ? you do get resistance on a full stroke but im not sure how to describe it to you, if your local come have a look i dont mind

    not a clue but it started my Hyper ST the only thing it needs is some bolts putting through the black parts on the top to setup where the car sits, i had trouble at first but once i got the car sat right it started it pretty much instantly

    got this with my Hyper ST, ive put new stick packs into it which cost me about £30, and only used it a handful of times since as ive put a new engine in which sits higher so im back to using a pull start, so the battery packs are pretty much new £35 delivered, for £40 ill also include the charger for the stick packs no idea what make it is as i didnt buy it myself

  9. came with a Hyper ST i bought, no idea how much fuel has been through it im afraid runs ok just quite hot which they all seem to do, may just need a different plug to help things, before i removed it, i reset it back to factory settings, but by that time id already bought a new engine so never ran it to see if it was just the tune that was out im running a different engine now and was gonna keep this as a spare, but for how much i manage to get out to use my cars i may aswell sell it to someone who could use it after run oil put in before i removed it from the car, air filter will come with it too
  10. mines only currently held on with 2 bolts from underneath, and 1 on the servo plate
  11. what temp was it running at previously ? how hot do they run, maybe the damage had already been done when it was running at 300+
  12. if you get the RTR, expect to be changing the engine in it, the Mac .28 can be hit and miss
  13. so you took the glow plug out ? does your engine not use a 'head button' ? can usually just replace that if the threads have gone
  14. nope but if you had to use that maybe you still have too small a gap on your carb using the idle screw
  15. if the STS is running very hot, try a cooler plug like an OS A5 (now #10 i think), or maybe an Enya #5
  16. chances are when you changed fuels the glow plug had already gone, so you were trying to start it on a bad plug, and now your back at factory everything is going to be very rich which will be causing the problems your having id imagine if it stalls when braking id check your idle screw and throttle trim to make sure its set properly, maybe it isnt have you tuned your HSN fully yet ?

    only thing id advise on the ST, is that the engine runs very hot and can be hard to tune, and hold a tune
  18. get a Savox 252, dont get a Hitec 645 as if you switch to a Spektrum at any point you may have issues, i had twitching with 2 625's
  19. try Ebay mate if none of the shops have anything i find it useful to get the HPI part number for bits i need, then google the part number
