the only downside to them .......and all petrol models....is the abuse they give your wallet
on the up side you'll never be weighed down with a heavy wallet
and pour some neat petrol into the engine thru' the carb (hold the throttle open and raise the piston to the top of its stroke) give it a good shake (might be easier with engine out of car) then pour into a suitable receptacle. Repeat until petrol runs clear (petrol coloured) then give it one final flush with your new 2 stroke mix with the synthetic oil
mark out a measured litrer on your bottle and get one of these

is it a new engine with new carb etc? it sounds like an air-leak, if its an old carb the throttle shaft may be worn and letting in air. spray some wd40 over the carb with engine running. If there is an air leak here the revs will drop
you can use it as the crank you have will probably be 28mm. Just use high temp gasket sealant instead of a normal gasket to reduce the height. it won't give you any more power over the 26cc as that head is designed for use with a 30mm crank. On the plus side it shouldn't overheat
if you have the stock engine then none of the tuned pipe manifolds will fit as the exhaust holes on the head are closer together than zenoah's and cy's. Wheels use the same squares as the FG so any of those wheel and tyre combo's fit
i use these...http://www.freeprawnracing.co.uk/fastrax-baja-block-rear-tyres-for-the-hpi-baja-5t-2-fast0311.html
great traction on most surfaces and hard wearing
when you start the upgrades, look at some of the upgrades Lauterbacher do for the "conrad reely carbon fighter"
its based on the evo3 but the alloy parts are cheaper than mcd. Alloy diff housings can be had from powerslide racing in Australia. upper and lower, front AND rear with bearings and shims for
Lauterbacher sell a few upgrades fot the " conrad reely carbon fighter" these are of similar breed to the FS, being an MCD clone

may even be suitable for the CEN
fill engine with neat petrol but pull it over SLOWLY as there will be no lubrication, and as Dwarfy says put some in tank then pump primer to clean fuel lines and carb. You shouldn't need to change piston ring
