  1. yep, i use the mcCoy's mc-9 in my hyper 7 pbs, st and my monster gt. good plugs and seem to last well.
  2. they probably just give you a distributor list, and not sell direct. example: hoboa hyper st, hoboa site wont sell parts, but CML are the distributors over here. i use ebay a lot for my stuff, although you can buy items direct from dinball. hes on ebay also as dinball: here: http://www.rcmart.com/catalog/default.php?language=en
  3. in my experience, buying from hong kong, or taiwan is just as cheap, postage is quicker and much less chance of being hit by import taxes etc. ive never been hit once and ive bought a few bits from hong kong now...
  4. the pro chassis brace has another mounting point compared to the rtr, you need the pro chassis plate to fit, or try and drill new holes in the rtr plate..
  5. as its indoors it will have to be electric surely!! good luck with it though.
  6. defo sounds like an air leak, check the front bearing isnt knackered!! also check the back plate is sealed ok..
  7. a good tip to save you having to take the glow plug out to check if the piston is at bdc, do as mentioned already and take the glow plug out, make sure its at bdc, then get a marker pen, or even some nail varnish, and make a small mark on the flywheel, this way you will know where bdc is, especially handy when using a starter box!!! also, you need the piston at bdc as it lets the aro flow through the engine, it needs to get to the bearings so having it at the top means the aro wont flow to the parts it needs to reach!!!
  8. friend of mine has an lpr.28 in his hyper st and its a beast!! goes like stink and pulls wheelies as well!!!
  9. take a look here mate: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/STS-28-30-Engine-Tun...1QQcmdZViewItem
  10. if your using byron fuel then there probably isnt any need to use aro if your bashing every few days. dont know what its like for other fuels. this has been discussed on another forum and seems to be true with byron users. ( something to do with the oil content i believe ) saying that if unsure then just use the aro. also i would NEVER use wd-40 on my engine nor would i reccomend it! i also read somewhere its best to put aro in when the engine is still hot/warm.
  11. my brother has an sts.28 in his savage, and although he found it a bit of a pain to tune at first, it runs like a dream now! also works better with the custom made sts exhaust, really shows off the sts engine power!!
  12. my brothers is the other way around!! ive never had a problem starting a hot engine either to be honest. hey technex, hows it going fella!!!

    HYPER ST

i have an st as well, the only upgrades i could reccommend are cnc knuckles pro chassis braces as the stock ones can break easily. ace servo's ( if racing ) pro rear wing mount (if racing- bashing hard! ) some spare 22 degree c-hubs other than that i cant see the point in getting all the pro parts, at slough this weekend just gone, graham aslop was running a rtr with the only changes being the cnc knuckles and pro chassis braces!! oh yeah and different engine but thats to be expected!! he also changed his servo's to better ones but again, he races so thats to be expected. there tough little things, and can take a good pasting!! enjoy it mate!!
  14. its been said by someone at the proline internatinal at the weekend that they are gonna concentrate on just helli stuff now and that they havnt gone bust. ive been to the shop and its still closed, the link above only takes you to century's dealer list, like other sites do. it doesnt mean there in business still. however if its true then they should of still honoured orders, and at least let people know what is happening!!!
  15. update, apparently kevs racing bits HAVE gone bust. someone on another forum managed to contact someone from there today and it was confirmed. apparently the owner kev had left the two guys in the shop in the lerch, and has unfulfilled orders that dont look like there going to be honoured!!!
  16. dont know mate, but ive tried to call them on the mobile number they give on there site and there is no answer either. shame as i wanted some cnc knuckles for my hyper st, they sold them for
  17. it looks like it MAY be curtains for KRB, the shop has been shut for a few days now, other forums are rife with roumers as well. there web site has been down for a while and ebay account closed. i went down to the shop today, i live nearbye, it was closed, the shop looked as normal, still had stock on the shelf's ( not that they ever had loads of it anyway!! lol ) there wasnt a notice on the door either, but if they have gone away or bust then surely a notice would of been put up?? they were open on tuesday/wednesday this week as i pass them upto 3 times a day with my work... there has been roumers for a while now that there was trouble in store for them, hope its not true as its never nice to see a hobby shop go bust!
  18. try not to use wd-40, if dirt gets into the bearing then it turns it into a grinding paste and will ruin the bearing. use something like gt85 spray, halfords sell it in the bike section.

    Which one?

id like the monster gt 8.0, at around
  20. wouldnt be this one by any chance? http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vie...=tab%3DWatching he is only 10 mins drive from me, i can save on the postage and pick it up if i bid, already asked him. its possible he bought the tyres seperately but that pipe is looking a lot older than 3 race meets!!
  21. ive alloyed up my monster gt in the past and i wont be doing it again tbh, worst thing a could of done. if one part broke then i can guarantee another part would break with it. i have stuck with stock parts since, the plastic parts have more 'give' in them, and are cheaper to replace as well!! good tip, spray them with a good coating of wd40 and let them dry, this will give em a good 'flex' factor and last longer!! although saying that i have a set of alloy ( blue ) upper and lower arms for sale if interested!! there used obviously, bottom of them are scratched but hey you gotta expect that, bashing is for fun!! lol

    MTA-4 .50

id go for the monster gt purely for price difference. not only that but you can use your older mgt for spare parts as well. the only real difference is uprated gearbox and engine ( and diffs id iimagine! ) upper and lower arms, skid plates etc would be the same. just dont touch the savage xl!!!
  23. spot on mate!! thats me.. nice to see other mighty red's fans here odemode!! lol
  24. hi all, new to here but not to r/c's. ive seen a few names i recognise from other places, so i hope to get along!! cheers, kev..
