  1. Idle speed is spot on, it is fine when lower speeds are used....just after a WOT run, it drives on a bit too far on it's own....only for a couple of seconds??
  2. Cheers Marty, will try that next time I have it out. It is still smokin thru the revs and pulling nicely, but will fatten the HSN up and see what gives....
  3. What are the CVD's??? You can buy EVERY PART of a Savage as spares!!!
  4. Was out doing some fine tuning and high speed runs with the Savvy today.... At the end of a WOT run, the revs stick high for a bit too long before settling down to idle. servo operating correctly, carb not sticking, what is causing it??
  5. I am quite 'a bit' older than you, and just bought 2 nitros this year.....something I always wanted as a kid, but was never allowed one for my birthday/christmas But when you earn your own wage, you can buy all the 'toys' you want.......tell her indoors to 'do one' !!! :)
  6. tried both ways round, checked both servos on the CEN (fine), deffo in right slot.......like I said WTF????
  7. OK, the servos have arrived....and tried them on the CEN - VERY strong/fast action....!!! Fitted one of them on the Savage steering and NOTHING...it wouldn't work properly??? WTF is going on? are these not compatible with the standard HPI RX?????
  8. Sunday 30 March.....not long now.....!!
  9. I don't think you are allowed mains powered cars???....how long is the extension lead??? :)
  10. ......I wish it would hurry up, cos then I go out and 'play' after work, but it's always dark by the time I finish at the moment.....
  11. very, very strange that cos the tank is pressure fed from the zaust, with less fuel in there and a bigger volume of air/zaust fumes, it would be easier to push the fuel out, not harder????? which should make it richer when fuel gets to the 'step' in the tank??
  12. New full set of arms arrived today, replaced broken one and got 3 spare uppers (and 4 lowers).....will see how long these last...LOL
  13. I have been running my Savvy 4.6 in on MT 25% because of it's higher castor content, when the container is empty, I will be switching to something a little less oily and also with a better smell cos MT stinks horrible and makes your eyes sting like h3ll if you get a faceful of fumes...
  14. Well, the replacement arms still not arrived so I have braced the broken arm with a metal plate and screwed it to the side of arm.....I just wanna go out bashing, so lets see how long the bodge repair lasts.....LOL Where can I get the RPM brand arms from m8???
  15. Ebay item 200200490527 £55 + £4 p+p..... is this a different model to that you ordered???
  16. No, I just would like a stronger servo on the steering so I can turn wheels without having to travel forward.....Will report back in this thread when they arrive (ordered 2 at that price).......hehe
  17. £13 a PAIR delivered from China!!!! item number 300200446833 - OK if you not in a rush.....LOL
  18. Cheers dude, thats sold it for me.....gotta be worth a shout at that sort of $$$.....
  19. WOW, you guys are quick.....thanks for speedy replies.....I think i will get one and give it a shot.... Will it (MG995) be strong enough to turn the wheels lock to lock at standstill???
  20. Looking to upgrade the steering servo on the Savage, so it will turn wheels at standstill. Has anyone experience of the MG995 (towerpro?) servo, rated 15kg @ 6V? They seem very cheap for metal geared servos Other than that any suggestions for alternative as the standard one is pretty poor....
  21. Spare set of arms (upper/lower) and spare spur gear......
  22. remember that a normal AA alkaline battery is 1.5V and a rechargable is 1.2V. If you were to give a glowplug 1.5V all the time, I doubt it would last so long????
  23. Plastic is better than metal anyway for this type of thing, as it is always better to have some cheap plastic part snap than trash something further back and possibly more expensive (same goes for spur gear). With the price of the arms and ease of fitting, it isn't a problem anyway, just gutted I never had a spare.....
  24. Actually just looked at a glow starter and the battery is in a metal case which forms the outer of the starter body itself.....answered my own question there....LOL Safer than candles at the dinnertable.......!!! hehe http://www.msuk-forum.co.uk/index.php?auto...si&img=3360
