just a suggestion a guy at our club had a buggy that cut out almost instantly after it rolled, turned out he had shortened the fuel line and when it went upside down it sucked air almost straight away.. he's putting longer fuel lines back in :-) looks like the plug idea might be the winner then lol

will they drop into an ST without a problem?

I want to start racing in a few weeks and have been advised the Mac 28 isn't too suitable, and hence am testing the water as it were

or if you have shortened the fuel line it could be running out of fuel.

Already got the CNC knuckles & servos, learnt that one first time out lol.

Hi Laurence, I wasn't looking to break the bank. If I ask how much should I pay for a 'decent' engine.... this depends on the depth of your pocket.. I have only just started this hobby so don't want to buy the 'best bits' and not do them justice.
