  1. So all being well I should be ordering this on tuesday... http://www.funshobby.com/index.php/product-569-ADVANCED+1%3A8+RC+OFF+ROAD+TRUGGY++COMBO+INCL.+TENSHOCK+X802L+V2+%26HOBBYWING+XERUN+BRUSHLESS+150A+%26+3+IN+1+LCD+BOX+%28FREE+SHIPPING%29.html Will be going for the 2200kv version But could someone confirm that the motor can take 5/6s? And also is this the best I could get for that sort of money do you think? Thanks
  2. Can anyone reccomend a good replacement steering servo to fit the truggy flux?
  3. Thanks! Yeah seems like it will do the job nicely. Bought it based on recommendations from yourself and others on here without really knowing if it would fit but it's looking like it will be fairly straightforward after drilling a few holes.
  4. Got the center diff all bolted back on with the motor mount, and the losi tray part fitted, wont be fitting it fully until the trophy flux side skirts arrive (which i'm hoping will be fairly straight forward to fit. Also got the radio box from the trophy flux on the way too. Then next Tuesday I shall be ordering the Xerun 150 esc and tenshock 2200kv motor combo! Not long now hopefully!
  5. Could anyone link me to the servo linkage from the steering servo to the servo saver on the truggy flux? Thanks!
  6. Any pictures with the tray in? Just ordered one for my project so would be interested to see how it fits!
  7. Here is 2 examples I have found.. 2250kv http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/XERUN-Sensored-4068SD-2250KV-Motor-150A-ESC-LCD-Program-Card-/251070920691?pt=UK_ToysGames_RadioControlled_JN&hash=item3a74fe37f3 2200kv http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Hobbywing-Xerun-Sensored-150A-ESC-2200KV-Motor-Card-for-1-8-CAR-buggy-truggy-/110996677394?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item19d7eae312 Would the 50kv make a difference or does it not really matter?
  8. Sorry stupidly forgot to mention one side is for the alloy motor mount, so what would the different thread you mentioned be Deafty?
  9. Okay thanks looking at some of the xerun combos on eBay and they seem to be a bit cheaper with the hobbywing motors, would I be alright with that or have you picked the ten shock for a reason? And I'm not really sure what the advantages and disadvantages are over 4 or 5s? I guess it would just come down to price really and if my turnigy acucell charger can charge them (its rated up to 6s if I remember)
  10. Looking at the xerun 150a esc and motor combo on eBay, are they to be reccomended? Seems like good value
  11. Thanks for the reply it's going to be a basher really, I have no plans to race so the more speed/craziness the better! I don't really know what that's going to cost, but lets say around
  12. Thanks very much, so it's 20mm long 4x17mm screws I need
  13. Hey, Anoyone know where I can buy the screws that mount the center diff to the chassis without buying a whole screw set? Are they a standard size that could be available easily? Thanks
  14. Stripped down and cleaned the LSP and chopped off the throttle/break half of the servo mount ready for brushless conversion
  15. Stripped it all down last night and chopped off the throttle/brake part of the servo mount and gave it a bit of a wipe down. Just got to wait for the Trophy motor mount to arrive to see if that fits and then hopefully start ordering some more interesting parts! Still need some help deciding though so any suggestions would be much appreciated! Excuse the Iphone picture...
  16. That's good to hear! I'm hoping I can get away with using some of the parts from the hpi trophy flux. I ordered the trophy motor mount last night but I'm not sure if the motor I want will fit it. Would I get away with a 80+ mm motor on that mount?
  17. Hey guys, My poor old hot bodies LSP has been catching my eye whilst in the garage recently, sat there covered in dust unused for well over a year now. This is mainly because i find myself put off from using it because of all the hardship that comes with nitro such a tuning, fuel, noise, neighbors ect.. so I thought why not set myself a project of converting the beast to a brushless set-up! But not having any previous experience with leccy models I may need some advice. I'm guessing it's not as simple at bolting a motor, esc and lipos on and away I go? Also looking for some good parts suggestions for the project to give it some good power I probably wont set myself a budget until I find out exactly what I need so I will get back to you on that one. Here she is... Thanks
  18. Wow.. things really have changed since I was last here. He was a great guy, always helping everyone that posted. Got some real respect for him and he will be missed greatly. RIP
  19. Well... It's been a while, a few years to be exact but I got my Lightning stadium pro out today for a good run and I guess this is probably the closest model to it now days so hears a few pics. Now just need's a clean! Feels good to get it running again, though I'm not sure my wallet will feel the same when I get the upgrade itch! Also.. add me to the list!
  20. Middle 2 are brilliant, really good mate
  21. Thanks and yeah the tubes i have are constructed from metal, but have no electrical connections to the camera, so have to be used on the widest aperture, manual focus and fully manual mode on the camera which can be a pain
  22. If you do get some make sure they are made for your camera, the ones in the link are for Sony Alpha DSLR's only.
  23. Thanks for the comment's guys appreciate it. At the moment my very budget setup consists of: Sony A200 DSLR Ebay £5 extension tubes (This is what allows me to get closer to the objects) Link here Hama star 61 tripod. And as for lighting, it was a mixture of torch, natural window light and in-camera flash.
  24. First shots with my extension tubes.
  25. Here's a few recent ones.. Got my macro extension tubes yesterday, will post up the results sooon
