I want a set for the baja*, or at least to see them work on something large offroad. I can just picture it, come off a jump and land on all four wheels and 4 or 8 3" spikes shoot up like a bed of nails... that'd be awesome. Give me the ability/option to be able to screw skulls or spikes to the tops of the shafts and I'll happily buy more than one set * I'm aware of the impractically of them on such a model.

I think your right Garry, just checked HPI's site and it says they are now discontinued but without any signs of them being replaced by anything.

I don't understand why HPI don't sell these different bodies as individual truck releases, they do it for everything else why not these as well? I'd love the Ford one they keep showing off but simply can't be arsed to buy a stock one and then replace pretty much everything that's visible with the shell on for different versions...

No he means the plastic cover on the cylinder head. On the pullstart side feed it out under there by the fuel tank brace.

Your one of the few... There's a big thread on the Baja-Forum all about them and lets just say it isn't full of praise. Unless you enjoy phoning multiple times and being either fobbed off with excuses or in other words told to **** off your best bet would be to shop elsewhere. Use modelsport, even if they have to order it at least you know they will do it, instead of trying to cover themselves for forgetting to do so. I think after Typhoon 2 hit the scene they realised they were simply getting too dangerous. If you can't remember or just don't know Typhoon 2 was built by the RAF cadets and had an outer shell which doubled up as a spinning weapon. Once up to speed anything it collided with would be flailed clear across the arena and heavily into the barriers around the outside. On more than one ocassion it went through said barriers and they had to cease the match whilst they basically rebuilt the arena.

Go woodster or or RCP. Thicker, better, sexier I say. If you can't, grab whatever one is cheaper.
