It’s a three wire servo with an odd style arm. I managed to upgrade the servo, but it was smaller than the original. I used the stick arm on it, but it just broke today so now I’m trying to find an aluminium one that is short enough.

I’ve been steadily upgrading my son’s brushless FTX Tracer. I want to swap out for a better servo, but this is all new territory for me. Has anyone done this already with something better than the stock one?

We’re waiting on the metal gears to arrive for the front and rear. Am I meant to use diff oil or grease like with the original plastic ones?

Hi all. I’ve recently started following this thread. I got my son a FTX Tracer (brushless). So far I’ve only upgraded the rear diff cups to metal. Most of the metal parts are out of stock so I can’t even do the oil filled shocks yet. Something I was curious about was whether anyone has upgraded the servo on the brushless version to something better? @everclear1984I can’t PM you yet, but I’d like a battery tray if you’re still offering them up. 🙂 Nino
