  2. Thanks Bajadre - good shout but I have tried with throttle trim centered and at both extremes .. no change.
  3. Hi, everyone! My first post and a troubleshooting question if I may... I have an FTX Carnage brushless (my first RC - I'm a newbie). I get no forward throttle, but some reverse. I have followed the instructions (hopefully correctly) to calibrate the throttle on the transmitter and done similar with the ESC 'set' button. It would be nice if I'd just messed these steps up but I've repeated them over and over again with the same result (a sign of insanity? You wouldn't question the diagnosis!) Connecting CH1 to the ESC provides drive in both directions so I think the ESC is ok. Hooking up an Arduino to the Receiver I noticed the CH2 pwm range is only 1.4-1.6ms whereas the CH1 range is a full 1-2ms. My feeling is that the transmitter is at fault, but the receiver must have taken far more punishment. I don't know if there's anything else I can do to confirm which end is the problem without any spares. Any suggestions or just words of experience would be most welcome! On a more general note, do people tend to replace the original radio gear like-for-like when it fails or buy something better, perhaps with a view to using it with more cars in the future? Thanks and Merry Christmas! Edd
