Daz, Had a nosey at that Arrma Talion, nice, liking that, think the 4.6 will be up for sale soon...... also found your Lipo battery/ charger suggestions thread reply, it all sounds complicated at the moment to a Lipo virgin, the last electric I had was a wild willy! If you don’t mind could I trouble you for your ideal package on the Talion, and ask why that package ? (As I’m a complete, total novice to this Lipo trickery) im looking for a good brasher, run time & speed with my 15yr old, with plenty of power to keep the enthusiasm, and he will probably understand it better then me !

Purchased a HPI trophy trigger 4.6 for myself and the lad to play with over the local park, and he now admits that he wanted electric.... ! the truggy is unused, with starter pack & fuel, has sat in the garage for the past 4 months, The question is........am I better off selling and buying the electric version or converting and selling the bits not used ?

Looking for a 17mm hex conversion kit for a 4.6 trophy, must be in good condition. what you got & price please ?

Cheers for the reply’s and advice so far, really helpful to us newbies, agree we wont be buying junk, and amazed at how many copies there are around, discussions are edging towards the dune buggy/5ive looking route, but they look massive ! Personally in thinking FG Baja, but out voted at the moment :-( also see that quite a few 4wd only run 2diffs, coming from 1/8th having 3, but appear to have a similar set up to 1/8th buggies, or do I need to bin the 1/8th tendencies as it’s 1/5th now and it’s a new ball game ? any weakpoints to to be aware of, or essential upgrades required ? cheers kipz.

Mainstreet, thanks for the link, tell ya what, they don’t look too bad, good spec, 4wd and I like the body's ?? What are spares like ? And how are you finding yours ? Any weak points or upgrades to be aware of ? will have to do some investigation on the forum ???

The losi DBXL and are you talking 30DN DTT-7 ? both look ace, think the dune buggy look is better than the longer Hpi/km baja, however the fg baja is very similar size ? anyone had any experiences with any of these ?

Thought I best just repost....... Four married mates, looking to purchase 1/5 petrol for bashing and racing together, the usual competitive upgrades will inevitably happen and one will be quicker than the other for a few weeks but hey, that’s part of the fun ? So,We are looking for some GOOD , SOUND advice on the FG BAJA 4wd/ KM 002 or other recommendations, love the losi 5ive but huge & expensive ! We have been into nitro for many years and now fancy a change, the Hpi baja looks good, but a bit long & narrow ? We have learnt that low & wide = good stabillity ! None of us are into bling so the monsters are out, just want the speed, thrills and reliability, I have taken a shine to the FG BAJA, and the history of the Marder, that its based on, good performance, reliability, spares avalible ect....., we all usually agree and buy one model, to keep things fair/ competitive Just want to spend money wisely and not buy anything would later regret. anyone got any comments good or bad I would appriciate it, as you guys are the experts !!! cheers Kipz.
