I have read that stock spurs should be one of the first thing to replace since they are made from some glued powder, but so far only teeth iv lost are in back diff ring gear - waiting for replacement atm 🙂 Have you tried removing motor and running it to see if the shaft is actually bent and wobles while spinning? Also - if shaft is fine and you are still loosing teeth from pinion or spur gears my educated guess would be to inspect the cush drive - its designed to save those gears.

also when my badlands die ill try stock wheels from new XRT - they look promising.

I had these in my shopping cart several times, but when its time to pay i always throw them away... Still running with original stock toe links. Is there a reason other than strength to install these?

Stock X Maxx wheels weigh 610g Scorpions - 784g Duratrax - 793g Proline Badlands (probably the heaviest on the market) - 814g Ether go stock or what ever else, because weight difference of others is 20-30g.

Watched few vids of it - looks nice! would probably choose XRT today vs XMaxx

well if it happened only once, we can write it down to defect or what ever, if it will happen again then we will investigate more. By the way was it front or back one?

Iv bent some shock shafts but never broke lower arm connection.... such a weird spot to brake... Are you running stock shock oil/springs? if so i would guess that you bottom out shocks on high jumps? Since i run my truck on a BMX track - lots of jumps - i replaced stock oil with XTR 950cst and harder springs in the back - also i tighten them to the max when i go for jumps.

Holly hell - do you run it in to the brick wall? 😄 i have newer managed to loose my lipos 😄

my bad - center 20m not 2m 🙂 if you go higher in front/rear - cornering abilities would get impacted.

It will be my first winter with xmaxx - any suggestions? How is it on the snow? Is there a temperature you wouldn't recommend running it in? Is there some preps i should do before i run it in snow/negative temperatures? I think bashing is out of the question, but would still like to run it in some field.

Never used these - no clue. Is there no screw to lock them? Loctite?

Iv noticed that both diffs (front/back) are leaking - any cure for that? Also what's the name of the oil/grease (consistency like shoe vax/ thick honey?) that people use for greasing all the gears (outside the diffs)? Thanks.

I save a lot of bumpers with SS bottom covers, not sure if there are any for your model, but it works for XMaxx - just have to hammer it out straight after some collisions 🙂

I don't follow your logic - if the part works and does its job well, how is it garbage?! You run on stock - how could you know the difference? If we would have been talking about prices - of course there are plenty cheaper alternatives. Everyone has their own hobby budged - as long as it makes you happy 😉

How is stock servo fine?! Try turning wheels in grass 😄 How is 2085X garbage?! Using it - loving it! P.S. SS bottom plates (just front and back) would say are a must - saves a lot of money!

Awesome! Think about ordering hobbywing ESC and stronger servo - these are a must first upgrades/fixes for xmaxx 🙂 ! Cheers!

Yea, they have even wider ones (24mm) - tho they are not from hardened steel 🙂 lets see how they will compare to stock aluminum ones.
