    Hi cheers .

So what parts have I bought there identical in shape and design  but just about inch shorter . And there for the rear. So cant have shorter back ones  did think about putting them on the front but cant be bothered to swap all the stuff over . .

So what car do these fit . Cheers

This is weird as the front and back arms are different in design as well as length so I doubt you have the front ones. The vantage rear arms are very similar in design but doesn’t have the whole of the hinge pin covered,  according to the drawings although I don’t have a carnage so I don’t really know.

I would recommend just putting in the part number ftx6321 into google and comparing what you have to that!

  2. This is my fly sky tx that has only had a handful of uses, I have had real problems with it having limited range and glitching, brought another rx as I thought it would fix it but it was the same. I read that they have problems with interference from electronics so perhaps it was where it was located in the tight bay of my teckno 410, anyway I only want a £10 for postage as someone might have more luck with it than me!
It is basically in new condition. I haven’t got the box but I do have instructions. Dm me if you fancy giving it a go!D69A29A7-AE99-4F11-B638-B3AE89B7D54C.thumb.jpeg.f9ac121aee7085d5cdde46029e00868f.jpeg

Probably my next upgrade will be the pinion and spur gears. I just don't know whether I should get the 32DP or the 48DP

Not sure how changing the spur will be possible with the slipper clutch setup on the vantage as the clutch pads sit in recesses in the spur, other spurs will just be flat so the slipper clutch pads won’t sit right. You can get steel versions, I have this and run it with a 27t steel pinion and have had no issues since I fitted it.

unless of course they make 32 or 48 dp spurs with the machined bit for the slipper!

Mine got a new aluminium front plate and Carnage bumper as I've already bent a shock rod.

Looks like a sensible option, I am not sensible, I got sick of the front bumper breaking so I just cut that bit of the chassis off and have no bumper!!!
I did upgrade the shocks to big bore ones that are much tougher than the plastic stock ones tho!

  5. Thing with buggy shells is that they are all made pretty tight fitting so I think you will struggle to find one that isn’t made for a vantage that will fit, didn’t find a problem with mine fitting with the stock gear in it, and it is still going many crashes on, the rear wing on the other hand was more brittle than a fallen autumn leaf! I haven’t read through all of this thread but don’t remember seeing someone use a different buggy shell on a vantage, maybe a bit of cleaning up of the stock wiring with some well placed cable ties might get the cables out the way so it fits nicely.

it was necessary for me to cut a hole in mine when I upgraded to a hobbywing 120A esc and motor where I put a double cooling fan on the motor but you shouldn’t need anything drastic like that with the stock gear!

Well I've pulled the trigger on a brushless FTX Vantage, should arrive by Friday. I've picked up a set of Fastrax Arrow Road wheels and tyres as well as 2 more 2S, 5200mAh batteries  so hopefully that'll get me up and running with it.

Is there any immediate maintenance issues I should be aware of before I put the batteries in and blast it about the street?

You could check the gear mesh on the pinion and spur, mine was way too tight out of the box! Other than that you could just check screws for tightness and then enjoy…… till something breaks! Then buy multiples or hop ups of those bits 😀

i just had a thought, when you do come to replace your spur and pinion make sure you watch a YouTube clip on how to properly set them up, this can be a little tricky. If you do it too tight it can cause it to bind and you will destroy your running gear and to loose and it will mash the cogs up. There is a sweet spot that is best shown rather than explained!

    Newbie to RC here.

I have just bought a FTX Vantage 2.0 and loving it so far.

Just wanted to ask if anyone here had any advice or anything I should do before taking it out for a proper run.

I have noticed that the included batter and and battery charger don't run for long and take a long time to charge. I have purchased a 3s lipo to use in it as I have seen that it does support upto 3s lipos, is there anything I should be cautious of?

This is the lipo and battery charger I have purchased:

This charger only uses a charge rate of 1.5A so won’t charge it very quickly and advised by ant it won’t be able to discharge or store lipos.

As advised the steel spur is a great upgrade, bear in mind you will need to get a steel pinion as the stock one will last 5 mins, also make sure u get a spur that has the face machined to hold the slipper clutch, I made the mistake of buying a flat one and the slipper clutch tore itself to bits! Here is a good one that I run now
