  1. Well, you can tell that they are on the ball and changing stuff all the time, as I only bought mine in November and it came with the SS type exhaust.
  2. Never have agreed with 'Price Matching', It's easy for Modelsport to check, And they will know without even having to check if there prices are competitive in the market place, I don't believe it is down to the customer to go back to a retail and ask them to match another retailer because they are not competitive, I believe if retailer A has a better price than retailer B, Then retailer A should get your custom for being fair priced from the outset, You cannot penalise retailer A because B may be able to price match.
  3. Don't quote me on this cos I haven't checked myself, But from checking about I'v read that the KM Version 2's(The Alloy ones anyway) now come with the Alloy Diff and the missing bearing.
  4. I'm gonna go out on a limb here and say that these people Never had the KM 29cc(Cannot comment on other engines)and just wanted to join in on a thread, I can only base my experience of the 29cc against the 23cc I had in my marder, As you would expect it is a lot faster and just as smooth, Apart from the other day when it was being a pig(sorted after a clean and retune)it starts within 3-4 pulls and ticks over until I tell it not to. The problem with this hobby is you always get people commenting on and recommending cars that they have never had,Look at how many people recommend the Hyper, I can't recommend it myself cos I have never had one, But many people will cos they have read over and over again that it is the nuts as a starter, But this has gone on for years in all forums across the board. The thing that gets me about the KM engine comments is that you buy a KM to save a bit of money, I did read the same sort of stuff on another US forum(May have been RCUniverse)about how they swapped out the pants engine straight away without even running it, Now if you are told to swap the engine out straight away and stick one in from the SS, Then why not just buy a flaming SS in the first place.
  5. Can only talk about my experience, But you won't be disappointed, Well worth paying the extra for the alloy version, You even get an Alloy clutch carrier which is said to be an essential upgrade over the plastic version, That's 25 quid there, A question that comes up is how good or not is the Alloy and is it soft, Well if how tight they have screwed the bolts into it without stripping the thread is any answer, Then it's good stuff, And I've not bent anything. Also do get a good set of Allen Keys as they really have done the bolts up tight with thread lock and I rounded a few out, Also make shore you do the roll cage mod, but it's best to do it like this I used 8mm threaded rod that I had lying about which is a nice tight fit, Push the rod down as far as it will go, This is because the rollcage is poo and very soft hollow tubeing, and when I landed on the wing it just bent were the wing bracket is welded on, But the bar has stopped all of that.
  6. I'm going to assume your talking to me as I was last to mention a charger, If so just search Imax B6 on Ebay and go for the cheapest. Looks Like I was wrong and some of the little people are still at work over there as my combo has just cleared UK customs and should be here tomorrow, Still 10 days to get here from China and 13 days from post to delivery, Pretty poo for EMS delivery.
  7. I was just gonna link to the plugs I used last year, I've not used the nitro in a long time but when I had a look Here,I noticed the blooming things have gone up a from 10 quid to 15, No wonder I'm knocking Nitro on the head, What with plugs and fuel costing more than liquid gold at the moment, and the aggro of all the bits you have to carry, I can't be having it anymore. But back on track, They were very good in every engine I have had, And pretty good value 3 at 15 quid delivered(Not as good as 10 quid).
  8. I've never ever Bumped a thread, So this is a first, You lucky lot You.
  9. Another Temp gun Here, I've got one of These, Never paid that thou, They drop the price to 20 quid on a regular basis.

    Boots

Well it may work, And it may not But for the sake of a fiver, Worth a go.
  11. I'll put this here to save starting another thread, I have the Imax B6 and the Turnigy Hardcase, Could someone link to Modelsport the board and cable I would need to charge in parallel please, Still not shore of the different connectors.
  12. Wasn't This 580 odd quid but a couple of weeks ago, Maybe they heard the word going round that it was good value for money and then had a thought.Thing is, I wouldn't be surprised if the price crept up some more, Good things are said about it, And there thinking, "why should we charge 580 quid for ours and customers are willing to pay 8 or 900 quid for there's" Like all company's they will want to benefit from good word of mouth, Right up Until there car is in the same price range as all the rest.
  13. Thats the same as came with my KM, But mine has 15 model memory.
  14. I do believe it's the same radio that comes with the KM Baja, except the KM comes with the one with the digital display, very good radio I think, have had no problems.

    Boots

But I don't have boots on any of my other cars, And probably the same for everyone else, And it's never been a problem or an issue in all the years, So why should large scale be any different.

    Boots

Right, In all the years of doing this hobby I have never had Dogbone Boots on any of my cars except my large scales,And never had any problems, Well I split 2 boots today(Again), So are they really needed and does anyone run without them.
  17. No chance, your gonna have a bit of a wait I would think, I bought a Hobbywing Combo that was sent on the 4th, It's been "Despatch from Sorting Center" in GUANGZHOU since the 6th, I have checked about and everyone pretty much says . So my EMS looks like it was a waist of money.
  18. 140 quid for the Brushless Stinger Here, If they have any in stock, This is by far the best value RTR on the market,Your money, but it's the one I would get without hesitation.
  19. I had the same thing today with my KM, Not been out for a while, what with the weather like it is, but it started of nice, so took the KM out. Well were I go was well muddy,So I poodled along for a bit and then it died, So started it back up, and every time I opened it up it just bogged down and died again, Well this went on for an hour before I chucked the towel in and went back home. Got home and checked out the tuning thread and went with the base settings there, 1 1/2 on the Low and 2 turns out on the High, That did start it but it was still a pig, Then the pull start jammed, Had to rewind the spring "TWICE" ,Eventually after a good 2 hours I got to the point were it starts, ticks over and pulls away nice,I have no idea what the problem was, maybe just one of them days, But I do have one question, I know it can come down to how big the spring is that holds the low speed needle in position, I:E "A slightly smaller spring may allow the needle to turn in an extra 1/2 turn compared to mine", But from closed on my carb, the LSN is now only 1 turn out, Dose this seem right or would you expect more, I know that everyone's settings can be a bit different, but a few setting you boys are running with may be a good starting point and help, To me anyway. Been a long bad day, So going to sit down with a few beers, A packet of Haribo's,M&M's(Chocolate and Peanut)a Twix's and a Boost bar, and watch Daybreakers on the big screen.
  20. Well the one in my KM Baja would be considered a cheap Chinese piece poo with a range of 2 foot and the twitchyness of a night clubbing chav on a comedown, But I have had no trouble with it at all, and may pick up one of These and a few of These with my next order, I only bash, so a cheap looking transmitter that I only bash about doesn't bother me.
  21. I always thought that the 25000mah was the capacity and not the voltage, I thought that a 7.2 volt NI-MH battery pack is always 7.2 volt no matter what the "mah" value is, All NI-MH cells are 1.2volt are they not, so 8 x 1.2volt = 9.6volt,I must be wrong because you now have 11volt, Call me thick if I am being, Cos I'm never to old to learn.
  22. 10.8v is actually more than you should get,Remember that rechargeable battery's are only rated at 1.2v each, So should technically only be getting 9.6v, But I always get about 10.6v.
  23. Does anyone know if the HobbyKing Receiver will work with any other transmitter, Gets good reviews, And when it comes to 2.4 Ghz I say it works or it doesn't and not much in between, And only 4 quid each.
