  1. All good now, i took out the 4 AA batteries again then put them back in and it worked. Didn't do anything the first time though
  2. Thought it would be something simple like that, just havn't bothered to look at it closely. Still scratching my head about my electrics, so obviously something didn't like the hard sudden impact of the tree. Can a crystal be damaged easily?
  3. The only thing i can think of is the crystal, I will have to try different crystal. Batteries are brand new and all cables are connected. dont have a failsafe but i have bought one but havn't fitted it yet cause im unsure what to connect it to, havn't got around to asking, while im at it, what do you connect it to?
  4. Was having a good time with my new hyper at the park today and then i hit a tree head on. I was a fair way away so I couldn't hear anything and thought the engine stalled cause the car didn't take off when I gave it a bit but as I got closer I could hear the engine idling and I realised the engine didn't stall. Something happened to the electrics, the receiver isn't receiving anything, turned everything off then on again and checked all cables but still nothing. Very confused, it was instant, as soon as it hit the tree that was it, you can't hear anything when you turn the receiver on. Does anyone know what could have happened?
  5. Well that was the easiest thing i have done. Just broke in my mac .28 today, who said they are a pig to tune?
  6. How important is it to use a hairdryer? Cause I will be breaking in my engine at the park and the park doesn't have power points so I cant use a hairdryer and it's winter here which means 15deg days. Is the hairdryer just to make life easier when trying to start new engines and can you get by without one?
  7. Just got my new hyper 7 and have put the batteries in control and the car turned on both power switches but nothing happens. Also, is the an easy way of putting the wire through the tube? i can only get half way and it wont go any further
  8. By the sounds of it and what I have been reading the steering servo that comes with the Hyper 7 TQ is crap, am i right? I have just ordered a Hyper 7 and it's my first nitro buggy, so you think I should put in a new servo when I get it?
  9. I'm brand Spanking new to all this stuff and thought i would post a question about servo's here cause since there is a little bit of talk about them already in this thread. Now for the question. Can someone give me a run down on why a cheap servo is cheap and why an expensive servo is expensive? Why are the good ones better than the crap ones, i also read alot of people say the first thing you do when you get a hyper 7 is to upgrade the steering servo, why? What difference will it make to the steering? Thanx guys, as i said i'm new to this and want to learn as much as i can so i make the right choices when my Hyper 7 arrives, hopefully tomorrow
  10. Thanx for the help guys, just ordered a Hyper 7 for $489
  11. What about size, is the buggy and truggy around the same size or are they different?
  12. Hi, im brand new to all this and have no idea about any of this buggy, truggy stuff but am super keen to buy something fast to bash around. Seems like the Hyper 7 buggy is the way to go by what i have been reading. Can someone please tell me the differences between a buggy, truggy and a truck? Do they have there own place? What type of driving is each of them used for, are they faster or slower than each other. Need some helpfull advice before i go hand over the dollars and since they arn't too cheap i want to be sure with my purchase.
