  1. Whats this about discharging packs? I have just bought a venom one for my hyper, so whats the deal? when do you have to discharge them and why?
  2. Could all you experts out there give me some tips on how to control the car while in the air and how to land your car successfully? When launching off a jump do you give it full throttle or release throttle just before you launch? What are the secrets to big controlled air time?
  3. Can someone please explain what the 1100mah and 1600mah means and how the car will benifit by having 1600mah over 1100mah?
  4. I have gone over everything and checked it all out and all seems to be ok, when you put after run oil in the carby and down the glow plug hole, how many drops of oil do you put in there? I have no idea whether its 2 or 10 drops..
  5. Was at the track today with my hyper when I launched it in the air then landed really heavily and then it just took off and i shat myself. I had no control of it and even had a failsafe in it (I think it's the stupid AA battery pack, it's happened before when I hit the tree really hard and the electrics turned off even though the batteries were in tight, I took them out and placed them back in and everything worked again. So I guess thats the only time failsafes fail, when they have no power to operate.) Anyway it eventually hit something then stopped in its tracks and the engine started screaming its head off and i thought it must have been upside down but it was on it's wheels. Took about 10 seconds to get to it and I shut it down as quickly as i could. Had a closer look and the front bottom arm snapped and the CVD shaft fell out so thats why the engine started screaming and it was screaming for about 10-15 seconds with no load. Will it have caused any damage to the engine and is it bad when it revs extremely hard with no load? I'm guessing yes.. I havn't tried to start it again cause I need to get some new parts for the car, will be doing it tomorrow and will see how the engine is. I really need to get a venom 6v battery pack cause this AA battery pack sux, has anyone else had problems with the AA battery packs snd will they venom flat pack be more reliable?
  6. Broke in and tuned my mach .28 engine with the OS A3 cause thats what came with the kit now what do i use? I'm using 25% nitro and its cold here in aust at the mo, 13deg days and will the incorrect plug danage your engine in any way or just affect performance?
  7. Whats the deal with the race .21 engines, how much faster would the race .21 engine be compared to my mach .28 in my hyper. Can someone please put up a couple of links of a couple of good race .21 engines that would fit my hyper and a really good performance pipe to fit?

  9. Can someone please explain a little about engines or does anyone know of a good article that explains all this stuff. Particularly what the numbers mean, like .21 and .28. why is the .21 faster than the .28, why is fuel consumption reduced with the .21? What are ports and whats the deal with 4, 6 and 8 port engines, which are better and why? I currently have the mach .28 in my hyper, what is better and faster than that and why?

  11. Yeh I got a hyper and will deffinatley buy a hump pack or stick pack, are they the same things? I think I might have been having some glitching problems with the failsafe, it would sometimes be turning on and then off really quickly all the time, probably due to low voltage in my energizer batteries

  13. Does anybody know how many hours you get from AA batteries? Think I'm going to have to buy rechargable AA's because even though the 4 batteries in the car arn't that flat (on the meter they read about 1-1.2v remaining), they are flat enough to kick in the failsafe and I only been using them for a few hours. Also the batteries in the hand controller are going flat i think because the red light is flashing and i'm guessing that's a warning light for flat batteries.
  14. Forget that previous post, I finally did it! My hyper takes off like a rocket but i think I could fine tune the LSN a little more but I dont think it's worth it, I would probably screw things up. She idles perfect and sounds so damn sweet with a good trail of smoke. It took a few goes, think I reset the needles back to factory settings about 4 times. Hopefully it still runs like that next time I take it out for a spin
  15. What if it it produces heaps of smoke and bogs down a little when it takes off then it accelerates quick then stalls before it's reached top speed? I was thinking it's too rich because of how it produces heaps smoke at the start but then isn't it too lean when it accelerates quickly and stalls? A little confused
