These so called raffles are the biggest legal scam to hit the internet.  You also have the patrons only garbage and let’s not forget the buy me a coffee scam more like illegal begging but but it’s not. Then there’s the freebies that get sold on by some mentioning no names Beyond this point if you catch my drift. Anyway his latest biggest best scam has to buying an address on the Isle of Man so he can hide from the tax man whilst still living and working here 😂. Yep he has made a massive success and now like so many runs and hides.

No one will stop buying or watching his content he has the Midas touch for sure 😂👍

Imagine if you went up to your employer who pays you and you said "I have done work. Buy me a coffee". I am sure that would go down well 😄

That Geekvape mod is simply brilliant if you don't mind the size and weight of the thing - it's one of the ones I have in my collection along with version 1 which required 2 18650 batteries to power it and the batteries could not be charged in the mod you need a separate charger for it, it's more than heavy and solid enough to brain a whale with the thing.

Versus the WIZBEC, which was a 3 battery mod and a lot of metal this thing is light as a feather! It's actually lighter than the WIZBEC with no batteries in.

EDIT: Oh and thankfully its USB-C chargeable so can use my other charge leads. Apple - take note.

  3. So I was doing it all wrong in the end.

So cut a long story short. About 8 years ago I  got a Uwell Crown Sub-Ohm tank and a WISMEC RX200 mod. I did really well getting off the smokes until I lost my job and got back on the smokes.

Forward to a few months ago and I got back to the ol vape. I was using Vampire Vape Heisenberg which I used before. Its a 50/50 VG/PG. This appears to of been my problem. I kept trying different flavours and each time they just didn't taste nice at all! Like slightly burnt chemicals. But persisted and ended up liking Black Jack. Then I couldn't find it in the shops anymore.

Then came the issue of coils. As the tank was old and coils were getting hard to find I needed to look into a new tank and possibly a new mod. This is where I stumbled across the fact that with a Sub Ohm tank you need to be using a high VG liquid!!!

So had a look around and went and got an Geekvape Aegis Legend 2 kit (Mod would be £44.99, tank £28.99 - Kit was £48.99...obvious sale on the kit) which came with a free Doozy Blue Razz Berry....and OMFG...its a different world!!! This is amazing!!! So much better and I have FLAVOUR without the headaches too!

So I got another one for my brother to try and modded them both 😄

  4. So with a distinct lack of RC action in my life at the moment and funds at an all time low...I was SOOO bored at the weekend. So took the 'Baked Bean' (as my daughter has called it) out to take some pics.

Just about finished building a mount for FPV for my Rock Socker, so that the camera, transmitter and antenna are all hidden within the body, lots and lots of cutting and measuring for that, I'm not joking when I say thousands of individual cuts.  Still haven't started to paint the body yet, I really need to get a new Stanley knife now that I've worn out my favourite and only one with making the FPV mount, but can't find the cheap rubbish ones that you used to get in packs of 6 for a quid - and with a lot of replacement blades too, I actually prefer those cheap ones to the most expensive Stanley knives you can buy, I find the cheap ones balance better and are easier to control especially when I need fine control and to make fine cuts than any of the so called ''better'' ones no matter the price bracket or brand - I've tried them all for some reason I use Stanley knives a hell of a lot so am very very fussy about them, and of course none of the blades you can buy fit the cheap ones, nobody expects you to get over 5 years worth of use out of them, and I don't want to cut out stencils with a knife I'm not comfortable working with, especially very sharp ones.   So I'm really having a hard time finding a replacement for my favourate cheap as chips plastic orange Stanley knife, and have resorted to ordering a few different Swann Morton handles and blades in the hopes of finding a decent replacement for my Poundland special that I will reliably be able to get replacement blades for.  I must say it's gotten extremely hard to buy Stanley knives, replacement blades for them, and even hobby knifes nowadays, and the selection has become extremely limited and restricted - and I'm not looking for something to invaded England yet alone Normandy with or anything you would call a very specialised design or tool.

If you are going to use a scalpel then be bloody careful. Do not put as much pressure on it as they can snap with ease. Being carbon steel it means they are bloody sharp but brittle.

Stay away from the 10 blade (big curved). They are only good for surgery.

11s are just too pointy to be of use.

15s are ok, but ideally you want a pointed blade.

10a is the one you want. Have used these for modelling for past 30 years.

PS-If you are using a rule to cut down, dont use a plastic rule, use a metal rule. The top 1/4 inch of my thumb can vouch for that.

Single use Stanley craft knives £2.50. https://www.amazon.co.uk/Stanley-Throwaway-Knives-10-601/dp/B0001IW5DG/ref=asc_df_B0001IW5DG/?tag=googshopuk-21&linkCode=df0&hvadid=411318662632&hvpos=&hvnetw=g&hvrand=13654402245400789051&hvpone=&hvptwo=&hvqmt=&hvdev=c&hvdvcmdl=&hvlocint=&hvlocphy=9046134&hvtargid=pla-632923468310&psc=1&th=1&psc=1&tag=&ref=&adgrpid=92204640911&hvpone=&hvptwo=&hvadid=411318662632&hvpos=&hvnetw=g&hvrand=13654402245400789051&hvqmt=&hvdev=c&hvdvcmdl=&hvlocint=&hvlocphy=9046134&hvtargid=pla-632923468310

on the good side painted the TRX4 body this morning finally 😆

now on to the thing I can’t believe happened wish I had it on video to prove it anyway took the TRX4 for a walk up on a cliff lovely walk it was to all the battery’s had gone flat so was taking the battery out to pack it all up and go home while I was putting the battery away in the back pack the body was off and being it’s pretty windy and being on top the the cliff on the footpath the wind picked and picked the whole body off the ground and like a kite it went over the cliff and landed on the rocks at the bottom so the sea has claimed my purple TRX4 body 😢

still can’t stop laughing and raging at the same time 🤣😤🤬

    Hi All,

I am just about to get into racing as my son is the right age to get into it and obviously i will have to get a car too. I used to race the XB8 many many years ago so electric is a little new to me. I brought this the other day on ebay and I know its an older model but would you help identify the year of the car? I think its 2016-2017 model. If so are parts still available? it looks like the wishbones are the same as you can get online now etc. Also i will be racing on astro turf so is there anything i need to change on this to make it better? Do I need to do something with the motor position etc? The seller said they used it as their wet car so assuming its setup with the different parts for that.

    Many Thanks

    Dan

Hi Dan, cant see the pics. Not showing for me. I can help with identifying for you for sure. If its an XB4 then a lot has not changed since 2013. The main changes over the years are:

    1) Chassis usually changes over the model years resulting in different battery/servo/esc/motor positions

    2) Batteries were mounted in pairs up to 2015

    3) Suspension towers changed once (think about 2013/14)

    4) Bulkheads have been the same up to 2022 where they added adjustable diff height

    5) Bodies have changed but most fit or need different mounts (e.g. you can put a 2022 body on a 2016 car if you get the 2022 rear mount and shims)

    6) Front bumper changed after 2018

Once I see your car I can tell you. The look for the explosion diagram of your model and you can see what parts you can get. I run a 2018 and parts are super easy to get. If you have trouble im sure i can help out as I have about 5 cars worth here! 🤣🤣🤣

I recently caved in and bought myself a soldering station, it's really good, especially considering it was under £30, I bought it from eBay though I would not recommend it based off of the seller, scamming charlatan is far too polite a term to describe the seller - it took 4 attempts and eBay having to get involved before I received the soldering station that I ordered.  I would seriously consider a soldering station instead of a soldering iron, very little difference in price once you start looking at half decent soldering irons which cost about the same price as good quality hobby grade soldering stations.

So I would strongly advise anybody not to buy any tools from eBay, unless it's a tool you're buying for one task and are then going to bin once you have completed that task, basically a throw away tool.  You're much better off heading to your local Screwfix and speaking to them - they know their stuff, or even god forbid B&Q instead of buying tools off of eBay, yes it will cost a few quid more - not really if you take into account the benefits that physical shops provide you with that eBay sellers don't like safety certification, warranties and such, but it will save you a lot of time and hassle, and I value my time and convenience far far more than I do a couple of quid, and it really is only a couple of quids difference.

Bad quality tools, especially power tools, can be extremely dangerous, even soldering irons - I've seen many people either badly injured, receiving life changing injuries if not killed by bad quality/dangerous cheap rubbish tools, so if you do decide to buy one from Amazon or eBay, make sure it has the ''Kitemark certificate'', which most electronics bought from Amazon and eBay don't - see all the electric scooters and e-bikes that have been exploding and bursting into flames like what happened to Grenfell  Tower.

    Edit to add:

This is the soldering station that I caved in and bought myself - I purposely did not link to the eBay listing that I bought mine from as I refuse to give that charlatan any publicity or hint of me approving or recommending them.  And the link I provided was just the first link that came up when I did a search for the soldering station I bought, so the link is not me recommending that seller either - I just watch his YouTube channel, just the soldering station that they sell is what I am recommending.

Do your friends call you “Lucky”? 🍀

For those interested in the development of my old 190E 2.5-16,

I've been frantically putting-in the weekends. Most of the work has not been cosmetic. However, the highlights include:

    - ditching those horrible alloys for some gorgeous, period-correct wheels.

    - ditching the horrible grill for the right one.

    - swapping back to orange indicators and side repeaters.

    - custom stainless exhaust system (sounds glorious!).

    - swapping springs to get the ride height sorted (still going to add 5mm, all-round).

    - full service.

    - coolant flush and change.

    - Greenstuffs performance air filter (panel).

    - interior work and fixes.

    - undoing the previous owner's sound system mess... and basically everything else they've done!

Although I initially had buyer's remorse, I've fallen in love with it, not going to lie. :good:

Next major thing on the list is to have the damaged bodykit and bumper repaired, which includes having them painted body-coloured.
