  1. Cheers, I've messaged you re part's 👍
  2. Thanks for this, it's made me sit down and have a think about options and I won't rush so much this time. 👍
  3. Doesn't sound promising. With the whole rinse and repeat you say it sounds like I'm gonna repair for £30 and keep fingers crossed. Tbh I'd rather fix it once and have as a 'spare' or whatever. Needle in a haystack question but what sort of budget etc etc should I look at. Made a right mess of this hey 😳
  4. Newbie and wet behind the ears so bear with me. I took my new RC today on it's second run and my second run in 20 year's! It's a Maverick Phantom XT. My back garden is large but when I braked and turned at relative speed it literally flipped and resulted in this! Serious question. Am I doing something wrong or expecting too much of something costing £110? Shocked how easily it's just snapped and now I need to spend £40 to repair. Not a great start hey!
  5. Afternoon all, thought I'd introduce myself. I'm Rob from Leeds, West Yorkshire. I had a Tamiya RC (looked like the hornet) back when I was about 10-12 and I loved it! My Dad got my son (I've gotten older 😳) an RC this Xmas and I can't get off of it and it's brought back such great happy memories. It's just a little foam wheeled monster truck but it's great fun and it's given me an excuse to get myself a little treat for the new year. I'm not too far from modelsport and I've been having a look online and trawling Google and YouTube for reviews on some 'budget' RC's to get me going again 😊 Anyway I've bought a Maverick Phantom XT with an extra battery pack. I've read tonnes of good reviews (also some not so good but everyone is different) and I'm super excited to get it. So, moving forward, what advice can anyone give? Can I brush up on any info re changing parts/modifying parts etc etc as I'd be really keen to get myself stuck into a good hobby again besides the gym. Ta, happy new year to all. Rob. 👍
