NI-MH .After christmas I'm going to see about swapping it over to lipo as I can get the complete kit for £17 off wish . But these batteys will do for now so I can play with my carnage . (For more that 3 mins )

I bought 3 floureon 3500MAH batterys and Radient mistral fast charger. Ac/Dc with different leads to do diffrent types batteies .

Wow that's what I want that looked like fun .. my batterys arrived today no charger yet

Hi I had a some probs with this so far not had any time out with the car to enjoy the hobby yet so I'm happy to wait a week till I get the new batterys once iv had some fun with the car after xmas I'll.order the complete lipo set up and have that fitted. But for now I just want to drive the wee car around an. have some fun .cheers If.anyone can help.with the info on the charging question plz As I dont want to kill the new batterys

Hi all I have bought 3 batterys off ebay . 3PC 7.2V 3500mAh Ni-MH Battery Flat Pack Female-tamiya for RC Car Truck Traxxas Also a fast charger so when they all arrive will it be ok to charge these new batterys up with the fast charger or a trickle charger . As iv been told as these are brand new if i use fast charger on these it damage them best to use a trickle charger I have emailed the seller to ask but not replied and I guess they be arriving soon . So any help/info will be fantastic. Thanks

The guy I went to the other day has found a brand new complete lipo set up off WISH . For £18 that's every thing to run lipo batterys . Then need to.buy lipo batterys . As the charger I bought charges lipo batterys so that's cool . On ebay just.the motor is £20 . But WISH takes month to arrive lol .

Hi sorry its I dont know anything about RC stuff I just found out that it's the Batterys that are knackered. I was just trying to find out why my ftx carnage was not running anymore or as long as it should . . The question.i thought if the euc was faulty would it stop my car from working and as bad as it is . As you pointed out if the ECU is at fault it wont work . Just my lack of knowledge on these things thanks

Hi all well I had the car and the batterys checked over the 2 new ones are knackered and don't have a cut off chip so he thinks they been used burned out and sent back and.sold to me . Also he found drive shaft is too short and not original it been bodged in so I need to buy a new correct size one . Also recommended I change all the cogs from plastic to metal. Same with steering linkage even tho the middle is metal the parts connecting to the wheels and body are plastic. So hes recommended batterys and charger . So got to buy these and then the parts he will fit them for me . Then off to have fun with the car .

It's a tamiya connectors .the white square half round. (On the battery) then small black ones on the car

Hi will that ECU thing not make the car run with full power batteries if its faulty ???

The batteries are not swollen or damaged but I dont know how old they are /been on the sellers shelf . I'm meeting a guy weds who's in to RC stuff and hes going.to check the car over for me I'll get him to do the batteries as well .as I'm sure hes done that . I need to change the connectors to run lipo batteies. I thought I seen somewhere in the instructions not to use lipo batteries I guess that what the soldering is about . It's a brushed type .

Here's the small bit I was on about you can see the small silver mark on the drive shaft it made .

Hi it runs freely . I did have one of the small black guides that sit along the drive shaft turn and it wa touching the drive shaft I just used long nose plyers and turned it straight and tightened the screw holding it .

Hi thanks for the welcome . The 2 old batteies that cam with the car are getting less the more I use it (which I been 3 times so far due to bad weather ) the car wont let me run it flat as it cuts out if I.lift it off the floor it run . The new batteries use the charger that come with them . They have a light on the plug and when I used them to day as I said one lasted 30 secs I charged it and the charge light went out in 10 mins the other one I got 3 mins out of it light went out 20 mins in to charge. So I left them for 2 hours still plugged in to see if the light real is a chage light or just nothing. I used it on a flat car park .I didnt get to go off road. LoL

Spent 20 mins changing 4 batteries to get a combine run time of 4 mins . Not had fun today

Hi every one This is my 1st post and I'm new to the RC hobby. I bought a 2an hand ftx carnage .few weeks a go and it's fast and fun . Mind you the last RC car I had was over 35 years ago I had a wild willy . But gave up due to 10 mins runtime 24 hrs charge . So when i decided to dive back into RC the joy I found that now you can have batterys that run for 30 mins and 3 hrs charge and they dont a remortgage to buy . So I thought I would just start off with a 2an hand one so few weeks down the road the 2 batters I had with the car 1800 voltz blue sticker NiMH 2400 plaszma orange sticker both gave me about 15 mins run time each. Now they last 2 to 4 mins . So I decided to buy bigger 2 x 5000Mah NiMH SC battery off Ebay. I asked the seller if they would work on my ftx carnage he said yes about 18 to 25 mins run time . 1st one 30 secs. 2an 3 to 5 mins MAX . So I looked in the troubleshooting section and poor run time damaged this and that or worn Nothing everything fine . So the car looks fine the batteries are new why is my car NOT lasting the fun . Any help will be fantastic Plz I know really nothing of RC so if you can explain it say to a stupid person that be me . Thanks.. iain .R
