    Windows 7

I have open office on all of my machines but i had a problem with Autodesk Inventor using spreadsheets for design data, they just did not work properly with open office. It was just easier to purchase office than try to sort out the compatibility issues with excel. I run various flavours of open source software such as ubuntu, linux mint, and the eeepc distro, but always have to have a windows machine for CAD design, solid modeling and structural/dynamic analysis work.

  20. If you right click anywhere on your desktop, then select properties, this opens the display properties box, the right hand tab is marked properties, click on this and it should show your monitors in the image, just drag them to where you want them. Hope this helps.
  21. i have just had the same problem, it turned out spyware had installed itself on the machine. Once it had installed it would not allow windows, antivirus or anti spyware programs to run or update. it also locked the user accounts and removes admin rights. If you can still get to the run tab type msconfig, this gets you to the start up tab, have a look what processes are running at startup, if you see one that says braxia.exe (or something like that), you may have the same trouble. I tried for two days to get rid using all the methods i know but it had totaly scrrewed the registry files and i found it easier to scrub the hard drive and start again with a fresh install. hope this helps
