nope, trying to figure out a workaround for this one, there is a capacitor pack I can solder on that supposedly fixes it, if all else fails I'll do that

welcome James, I too recently got 144001, was having fun until I decided to upgrade my transmitter and the new esc I got keeps switching to limp mode,so if you do upgrade don't get hobbywing 1060 esc 👍

mostly 2s 1500mah's and a couple of 2600mah's, my mate owns a military surplus/memorabilia shop so when the time comes I am covered on ammo storage 👍, cheers

tried it on the best battery I have and it definitely lasted longer, when checking the voltage after the change to limp mode, 1cell 3.79v 2cell 3.79v overall 7.58v? so the esc shouldn't go into LVC?

I'll do some more testing tomorrow and update you on the results, cheers for your help, I'll hold off on the cap pack for now and wait for the new battery 👍

yeah sorry I meant 7v, battery is Chinese but its OK I can get about 15 mins on old esc and on my other car, I got a 2600mah with this car but it has a weak cell and I'm currently waiting on a replacement to arrive

yes I have a second battery but I also thought the same and the battery was still over 6v

if I turn it off and on again I get full power again for a minute and then it drops back into limp mode

fully charged 1500mah 2s lipo

so I fitted the esc, servo and receiver in my 144001, was chuffed I managed to do it without too much trouble, took it out for the maiden voyage , ran for about a minute or 2 and esc kicks into limp mode which only gives half the power. Anybody know how to sort this problem? is the esc a dud? should I send it back to modelsport and get a replacement/refund? cheers

the postie delivered the final piece of the puzzle to my new transmitter upgrade, going to attempt to fit today, first time doing it so a little apprehensive but should be ok.....lol l

I found someone who says to discharge it at a low rate then balance charge at a low rate that could fix it? Cheers

I'll look into that but there isn't one near me, hi Ag100, 1 cell shows 4.20v and the other shows 4.12v? So it's not balancing properly, my other lipo's balance fine, thanks for the offer, if I start walking now I may be there in a few days lol👍 cheers

Hi Gampla, no it just discharges rapidly when using, 2-3 minutes, banggood want proof that there's a problem before sending another, cheers
